The Discover Mermaid Experience guided by Rincón's resident mermaid, Mermaid Julia Alora, is a unique and enchanting activity that offers travelers a chance to explore the ocean from a new mer-spective!
Under professional guidance, you'll learn the secrets of mermaid swimming and practice the graceful movements that have captivated the imaginations of people for centuries.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced swimmer, expert instruction will ensure that you feel confident and comfortable in the water, allowing you to fully embrace the mermaid experience.

Arrive at the beach. Take a deep breath. Smile! Your Mermaid Instructor has set up a place in the shade of a palm tree for you to go over some crucial mer-wisdom before dipping your fins in! Enjoy hearing about what the mermaid life is all about and learn some basic mermaid safety skills as you try on mermaid gear for the perfect fit. Breathe deep as you begin a short, guided stretching session to prepare your body for mermaid movements. Follow your Mer~Instructor into the water to practice basic mermaid safety skills and learn how to gracefully glide through the water in your stunning mermaid tail! After you show that you are comfortable, you are set free to be a part of their world with a guide and float by your side for support! Let the line between fantasy and reality fade and find out what it really means to be a mermaid! -No experience necessary! -Ages 6+ -Extra floats will always be available for your comfort -The Instructor will be with you from start to finish to ensure your safety -This experience takes place in water shallow enough to stand in -Bring your camera and your Instructor will take some photos of you on land in your tails

5.00This was the highlight of my stay in Rincon! It was so much fun. Julia was an amazing instructor and my friend and I had the best time. She took the time to make sure we were comfortable in the fins and tails, gave us tips on technique and really made sure we had a great time. My friend and I are both in our 50’s and we felt like kids. So much laughter! I couldn’t recommend this experience more. Do yourself a favor and don’t sleep on this one!

5.00This was SO MUCH FUN!! Julia was amazing and a great guide, she loves what she does and it shows in her enthusiasm and encouragement of the mermaid participants. My friend and I are grown adult women and we felt like kids playing in our mermaid tails. You should definitely do this; if you don't, you are really missing out and I feel sorry for you!!
