Teotihuacan Pyramids
In the morning, meet your guide and go to Teotihuacan. For about 3 hours you will leisurely explore the archaeological zone seeing the impressive Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, walking down the famous Avenue of the Dead, and visiting the beautiful Temple of Quetzalpapalotl, and other sights of this ancient city. After the tour, return to our vehicle and relax on the way back to Mexico City.
Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe
Walk around one of the most visited religious destinations in the world and famous for its cult of the Virgin of Guadalupe. There, get acquainted with the history of the miracle that supposedly happened in 1531, when the Virgin Mary appeared to a native man called Juan Diego, whose cloak has become famous throughout the centuries for preserving Her sacred image.
Historic Center (Centro Historico)
Walk around through the largest and most emblematic city of Latin America, declared a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO in 2007. Discover its Zocalo (main square); the remains of Templo Mayor, what was once the largest pre-Hispanic temple; Madero Avenue, one of the most emblematic streets in the city, the Palace of Fine Arts, an example of the 20th-century European cultural influence, and several of the vast museums that are part of the city's folklore. Once known as Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztec Empire, is now the “city of palaces” an architectural heritage of the Spanish conquest. The monuments, groups of buildings, or sites located at the heart of the contemporary urban agglomeration amply illustrate the origins and growth of this city that has dominated the region for many centuries.
Xochimilco
Xochimilco, which in Nahuatl means “Field of Flowers”, is distinguished by rain canals existing since pre-Hispanic times, when the Mexico Valley was part of a large number of lakes and lagoons, almost in its entirety. Today a big part of the nature of Xochimilco prevails, combined with cultural elements of its pre-Hispanic origins, art, and colonial culture, marimba, mariachis, parties, and Trajineras (Mexican Gondolas), turning it now into one of the most attractive and interesting places in Mexico City that every visitor wishes to visit.
Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli
The name Anahuacalli means "house surrounded by water" in Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs; it was designed by Mexican artist Diego Rivera to house his massive collection of pre-Hispanic art. The building is made out of the volcanic rock that is prevalent in this area which is also known as "El Pedregal" (the rocky place), due to the eruption of the Xitle volcano.
UNAM Biblioteca central
It is the main library in the Ciudad Universitaria Campus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and holds one of the largest book collections in Mexico. It is a World Heritage site protected by UNESCO whose facade is covered with various murals, which were designed by Juan O'Gorman.
Coyoacan
Coyoacán, which in Nahuatl means "place of coyotes", is now the most famous neighborhood in the south of Mexico City and has become a rich pocket of art and history since houses lots of cultural places, galleries, and spaces where artists and artisans can promote their works. Also known as the neighborhood where renowned personalities like Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, or David Alfaro Siqueiros lived and expressed their art, is the perfect place to discover more about Mexico's daily life.
Museo Casa Kahlo
Visit the Casa Kahlo Museum, dedicated to this prominent Mexican painter. There, learn all about her life and see some of her most famous works.
Chapultepec Castle
On the last day, after a private pick-up, head to Chapultepec while driving along Paseo de la Reforma, one of the most famous avenues in the city. Upon arrival at the park, climb up the hill to visit the Chapultepec Castle, one of the foremost symbols of Mexico that carefully preserves its heritage from different significant historical periods. A visit to this castle is like going back in time as it served as the official residence of Viceroys, the emperor Maximilian of Habsburg, and several Mexican presidents.
Museo Nacional de Antropologia
The National Museum of Anthropology contains the world's largest collection of ancient Mexican art and also has ethnographic exhibits about Mexico's present-day indigenous groups. Exhibited on two large floors, these displays show ancient human remains and art objects. Among its outstanding exhibits are the “Group of Figures” from the Olmec culture and the 22-ton Aztec “Sun Stone,” representing the history of the world.

Overall, I enjoyed the tour. The guide was great - very knowledgeable and professional. My issue was with the operator, who hid behind "disclaimers" and the overall scam of a process to visit Casa Azul. The rest of the tour was comprehensive and very informative. Loved Mexico City!

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!!!! I just returned from a 3-day private tour in Mexico City and can honestly say Sal is one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had—an absolute 10/10. He went above and beyond every step of the way. Sal is incredibly passionate about Mexican culture, deeply knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. He was patient with all of our questions and kept each day engaging and fun. We visited all the major highlights of the city, but what really stood out was his ability to time everything perfectly—he knew how to avoid the crowds, making our time much more efficient and enjoyable. If you're visiting Mexico City and want a truly exceptional experience, I can’t recommend Sal highly enough. Don’t miss the chance to tour with him!

Our group of five had such a great time touring Mexico City with Sal and Silvia. For my mom, who had some foot pain during our trip, having the pickup and dropoff at our Airbnb was very helpful. They were helpful, attentive and had lots to share! We customized our tour by replacing the standard Xochimilco tour with a chinampas tour including cooking lunch at a farm - that was our favorite day of the tour.

In February, my family and I visited Mexico City for the first time and we had a great time together with Salvador, who was our guide for three days. A friend of mine recommended me Vibe Adventures because he used that company some years ago when traveling to Mexico and his experience was excellent. The itinerary was excellent from the very beginning and the destinations were amazing. But with Sal, the experience was even better! He was very knowledgeable, fun, accommodating and always on time. I'd highly recommend this company!

What a disaster! This was the most disappointing and amateur tour company I have ever experienced in any country. I booked a 3 day private tour for two people in July. The week before the tour in November I was told we could not visit Frida Khalo’s house as the tickets had sold out. When I queried why they had not been purchased in July there was no answer other than it was unfortunate. All I was offered was a full refund for the tour, which four days before meant we had no time to find anything else. We decided to carry on. Big mistake. The morning of our first day in Mexico the guide was meant to arrive at 9am. By 9.30 we had heard nothing. We then heard he was on his way but would be late as his grandmother had recently died and he had been at the funeral outside the city. 3 hours later he said he had arrived but had gone to the wrong hotel even though it was on our booking form and I had told him where we were first thing in the morning. He eventually arrived 3 and a half hours late. He was very apologetic and took us straight to the Anthropology museum. We had a good tour here and he was fairly knowledgeable. As it was now 5pm he drove us around downtown Mexico City but we didn’t stop to walk around or visit anything else. We were jet lagged so OK with that although obviously it was part of what we had paid for and if he had come on time we would have. Day two he arrived on time and we set off for our tour. We first had to get petrol though. He did try to get us into Frida Khalo’s house but to no avail. We saw her and Diego’s studio instead which was fairly disappointing (especially as the guide spent 10 mins in the bathroom on arrival so we did most of the tour on our own) and then after lunch set off to the canals. It was raining and very busy. We were told we would have to wait 20 minutes. After 20 minutes we were told there were still 12 boats in front of us and no sign of any coming back. We decided to give up and go back to our hotel. On the last day we had agreed to meet at 8.30 to go to the pyramids which was to be one of the highlights of our trip. The guide didn’t arrive and ignored our calls and messages. The Vibe phone number was unanswered as it was a holiday and there was no emergency contact. In desperation we asked our hotel to help and they arranged a car to take us to the pyramids and find us a guide there. We messaged the Vibe guide to tell him not to bother coming and he said he was on his way. He was 2 and a half hours late at this point so we told him not to bother. We asked Vibe for a full refund but they just gave us one day and barely any apology. The whole point of our trip to Mexico City was to see Frida Khalo’s house and the pyramids. And although we booked 5 months in advance this company did not even bother to book our tickets until it was too late and there were none. They sent us an unprofessional and frankly inappropriate guide who told us more about his private life than the history of the city and what we were seeing. We were driven in a 3rd rate and pretty dirty car. We wasted hours waiting for the guide who couldn’t understand why we were upset to be left waiting. At no point did Vibe seem to care or show any interest in how our trip was going even when we had messaged them for help when the guide didn’t show up. I urge anyone looking for a tour operator in Mexico to avoid this company. Luckily the other guides we had booked in Oaxaca and Merida were all professional and far more knowledgeable (with degrees in history unlike the Vibe guide who had started 3 degrees but never finished one and worked in retail before this role). Don’t risk this company ruining your visit to Mexico.
