We had an absolutely incredible experience with TheBaqueano and cannot recommend Charles highly enough. Charles provided private transportation for us to Diamante Animal Sanctuary and to the waterfall and hot springs at Hacienda Guachipelín, and he truly elevated our entire Costa Rica experience. From the moment he picked us up, we felt completely safe and taken care of — and that peace of mind alone is priceless when traveling in a new country. His vehicle was spotless, comfortable, and air-conditioned, which was especially appreciated after hiking and soaking in the hot springs. What sets Charles apart are the things you can’t place a monetary value on: safety, flexibility, traveling at your own pace, and having someone with deep local knowledge guiding you through the day. He pointed out wildlife, shared insights about the region, and answered every question with enthusiasm and clarity. He truly went above and beyond. He hiked to the waterfall with me so I felt safe and supported. Afterward, he had thoughtful extras ready — robes for comfort and fresh coconuts for hydration. Those personal touches made the day feel curated just for us. He was also incredibly flexible, adding extra stops for us along the way, including Taco Bell (because sometimes you just need it!) and a pharmacy stop — never rushed, never inconvenienced. We used this transportation company to travel from Quepos to La Fortuna, and it was a fantastic experience. Our driver, Adrian, was incredibly careful and safe, which made us feel comfortable the entire trip. He also made the long drive enjoyable by pointing out interesting facts about the areas we passed through and spotting wildlife along the way. Adrian was attentive to our needs, stopping for bathrooms and making sure we were comfortable the whole time. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommend! Booking the trip was incredibly easy thanks to Charles an amazing experience!

Used Charles’ services for transfer to and from our stay in Monteverde. Great vehicle, safe and patience driving and great company, giving us an insight into Costa Rican life, politics and culture along the way. The Baqueano is the ‘fixer’ - the person with local knowledge and Charles certainly had that. Price was a considerably better price than offered by our accommodation for the trip and responded fast and efficiently to all enquiries. But most of all he was great company on both inward and outward legs that would get our strong recommendation.

Excellent services not only in transportation but also in guided tours with all comfort, very good cars, exceptional knowledge of everything one can see and visit in Costa Rica. We have traveled through Costa Rica with Charles three times in last two years and there is still a lot of things to see. I can recommend this transportation/ guided tours company for everyone, especially for those who like nature!

Charles is reliable, trustworthy, and provides a very high class service. He was also very nice and helpful sharing information to help me learn about Costa Rica and explore the region I was in further. When I come back to Costa Rica, I will definitely contact this service again.
