Lovely trip in a small boat with local company. Rachel was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife & where to spot it. We saw Albatross, seals & lots of other seabirds, including an Otago Shag trying to swallow a flat fish whole! Very enjoyable.

My sister and I had a great experience and saw many albatross and seals. The commentary was spot on and helped us understand the beautiful wildlife and terrain.

Highly recommend this boat trip! Rachael is an excellent guide! She will be your captain, your narrator, your historian, your bird expert, and an expert. It was fun seeing the wildlife, including a seal munching an octopus. The highlight was seeing an albatross in flight and baby seals. It was a small group and it was easy to move from inside to out to get pictures. So glad I decided to choose this boat trip!

The ride out to see the Albatross colony was beautiful and took about 25 minutes. Rachel, our guide did a great job handling the small boat in substantial waves and did everything she could to get us to see the wildlife. But it was difficult to get a good view as the boat was bobbing up and down. We also didn’t stay out at that site very long. We did see many other birds and seals but never got a good view of the albatross. We did enjoy the excursion anyway and we would do it again if the opportunity presented itself.

Really enjoyed this trip, Rachel arrived on time and it took 30 minutes to get out to the peninsula, where we saw seals, various seabirds and albatrosses which was an amazing sight.High magnification binoculars are supplied, so you can really see the birds and wildlife up close. The whole trip lasted 90 minutes. I wish there had been an option to book a longer tour so we could have gone looking for more wildlife, I would have especially liked to have seen some penguins. The number ratios were good so that the boat didn’t feel overcrowded and you were able to move around. Rachel does the commentary and is well informed and has good knowledge of the birds and wildlife in the area, and the trip was very informative, I would recommend this trip.

Rachel was a passionate tour guide that competently navigated her boat through the waters. Her knowledge of the wild life was amazing and her passion for nature was second to none. Feel like that there were perhaps too many people on the boat making seating rather cramped especially inside the boat. Inside the boat was difficult to get a good view Try and get a seat on the outside deck

What a happy little boat!! Cherie is a wonderful operator and notices everything even though we're all looking. We did get to see a Royal Albatross flying, what a bird! We saw fur seals and luckily a NZ sea lion! We saw spoonbills, oystercatchers, terns, black swans, bulls and of course sea gulls! Great little expedition. Thank you.
