Great Wall of Han Dynasty

Continue to explore the ruins of Han Dynasty Great Wall. With a history of over 2000 years, Han Dynasty Great Wall was built during 101 to 121 BC. Stretching as long as over a thousand kilometers in the west land of ancient China, it had taken a crucial role in defending the country against northern invaders and contributed greatly to the prosperity of silk road in the history, as it was under such a security protection, could the merchants passing through this area both from east and west continue their business and exchange goods and information. Adjusting measures to local condition, Han Great Wall was made by branches, reeds, sand gravels and other local materials instead of masonry structure. The existing Han Great Wall Relics in Dunhuang lost its origin style and features because of the weather-bitten of several millennia. We had started the tour after the visit of Mogao Caves. They were flexible about the pick up location and we could change in the last minute. Cathy told us a lot of stories about the Dunhuang area. Yadan is just speechless stunning. Thank you!

  • Explore a completely different and delightful environment.

A truly excellent day out and a lovely memory. The desert is well worth visiting - really splendid - fresh air, clean environment, blue skies, interesting rock formations and historical ruins. The day was well planned and allowed for flexibility. Decided to add a jeep ride to the tour. A great idea. The driver took us through desert routes not covered on the standard route. Cathy, the guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Her stories brought The Gobi Desert and its ruins to life! I live in a busy city so this was a completely different and memorable day out. Would recommend it.
