Aquazoo Loebbecke Museum
The art museums in Düsseldorf enjoy an international reputation, but the darling of the public is the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum in the Nordpark. Everything has been happening in, under and above water since 1987. From stingrays to shredded fish, from penguins to sharks, 500 species are gathered. The theme of evolution is the common thread that runs through the building, which reopened in 2017 after extensive renovation: the tour tells the story of living things from their formation in water, their spread in the sea, the conquest of fresh water to the settlement of all habitats on land. The Aquazoo has received multiple awards from the UN for its own amphibian protection and breeding station, in which various endangered animals were cared for and in some cases successfully propagated.
Filmmuseum Dusseldorf
In the footsteps of Charlie Chaplin, Federico Fellini, Alfred Hitchcock and Marlene Dietrich - in the Düsseldorf Film Museum in Düsseldorf's Carlstadt, big and small devotional objects are waiting for their admirers. The permanent collection extends over four floors and not only offers insights into the first steps in cinematography. In a replica film studio, cineastes can beam to Hollywood, feel like a director or film star between the backdrop, camera, wind machine and spotlights. The Black Box program cinema is also located at the same address, presenting classic films, themed retrospectives and premieres.

Make sure you read the fine print they made this sound in the details like this was an opportunity to use public transportation as you wish from the time slot you chose but it’s actually a tour and takes up the entire day I’ve had 7 AM because I thought it was public and station. Now there’s no way that I can use this. I tried to get a refund and it tells me that the refund cost is 100% of the cost of the purchase meaning they will not issue a refund.

An easy and economical way to bounce around the town on all of the public transport, as well as gaining access to some sites for free or given a discount. I bought a 72 hour card and it starts from a time you decide. It cost me 24euros, for the 3 days and was cheaper than buying a day ticket at 15.90E for 24 hours.

ATTENTION!!! Group purchase is still for 1 adult person! NOT for superiors as stated! Group ticket for 96h costs €49.90 on online ticket I received is clearly for 1 person and the amount of €30.90 (in the background)!

Very positive that you can go anywhere with public transport, and you get discounts or free tickets in many places. An improvement and extra motivation to purchase such a DüsseldorfCard would be the addition of a Netzplan {netwerkkaart} from Rheinbahn, then you have a handy card if you use public transport and you can visit the sights more easily.

The card itself is fine but the way it’s delivered via viatour leaves a lot to be desired. A group ticket shows only 1 adult and a 48hr ticket is hard to reference easily on the download. We had several institutions have to look into our purchase before they accepted it was a 48hr group ticket.

I bought the Düsseldorfcard online for 96 hours. Perfect for me to get to know the city on my own. And in the checks that have been made, an easy one to show them.
