Gialova lagoon in south Peloponnese is one of the most important wetlands and the southernmost one not only in Greece but Europe hosting numerous species of endemic and migratory birds. Within short distance from Pylos and the legendary Nestor Palace, the lagoon is also near the famous omega shape beach of Voidokilia. 5.00We had an incredible day seeing and exploring the entire area. We rode around the Gialova Lagoon, around Omega beach, and up and through the mountains. The whole experience was amazing- and Fotuos, our guide, made it even better. We highly recommend.

5.00Incredible, interesting, educational and just FUN! Our e-bike tour of the Navarino Trail with Fostis was a highlight of our trip to Greece and the Peloponnese region. We met early on the pristine navarino bay and spent the next several hours riding through migratory wetlands, pristine beaches, to out of the way vistas. Our guide was super knowledgeable. We enjoyed a gorgeous luncheon and conversation. We explored and got a great workout. The bikes were perfect and high end. I will refer this company again and again.

5.00What an amazing day out! The area is absolutely stunning and our lovely guide Fotios was amazing. This was our second trip with Explore Messinia so we were already familiar with the bikes. Full instructions are given so even if it’s your first try on an E-bike, please do not hesitate. We are 59 and 67 years old but had no problems getting up the hills on these bikes. We did a total of 22 km which took us all the way around the trail and up a couple of hills so we could admire the view. The pre-trip information will tell you what to bring and backpacks are available if needed. Don’t forget to ask questions as the team has soo much local knowledge not just about the trip you are on but also where to go for the best Souvlaki and the best gifts for the people at home. We will definitely be back again.

5.00We had a great 4 hours with Fotios on this e-bike tour. It was magical visiting the lagoon and the beautiful beach and then riding up to the church for some Greek snacks (tomatoes, cucumber, cheese, etc), conversation, and beautiful views over the bay. We felt safe and cared for, while still getting g some exercise and immersing ourselves in the local surroundings. Definitely worth doing !!

5.00We had a wonderful e bike tour through olive groves, stunning beaches and more with Fotios Gkonis. He was warm, engaging and informative. And to top it off we enjoyed his homemade luncheon in a welcoming monastery courtyard! Just perfect.

5.00We have the best half day exploring the beautiful countryside and lagoon and waterfalls! Super e-bikes and all orchestrated by the wonderful knowledgeable, kind and fun Fortis. To get two energetic boys (12 and 16) and their parents to all have a great experience is really magical. Really recommend this as a great way to spend some of your holiday.

5.00Beautiful half-day biking trip in the Navarino Coast region. We saw such a variety of terrain--a large flock of flamingos in the lagoon, sweeping sea views from hilltops, as well as hundreds' years old olive groves. Fotis, the guide, planned the route, so he knows it very well. He's an experienced cyclist, and is very easygoing and made the experience feel comfortable and welcoming. You should note that the biking is somewhat challenging, especially near the start of the ride, which is off-road. The e-bikes were top notch, so it's not a matter of strength so much as feeling confident navigating loose gravel and some steeper grades. That being said, we were the first customers, so it's possible the route will change. Also--forgot to mention--a really nice small waterfall where you can swim in nice weather. (You might want to wear your swimsuit, tho, as there's no facilities for changing.)
