Discover the only trip that arrives at 7:30h in Montserrat. We will set off from Barcelona by van for 7 customers from 6:15h till 6:45h from different pick up points.
First we will visit the Abbey and the Black Madonna and we won't be faced with lines to see this fantastic piece of art from the XIIth century.
After that, you'll have almost one hour free time till 9:20h. During your free time you can have breakfast, stay inside the Abbey during more time, etc
At 9:20h we will go with the van during 15 minutes to another place in Montserrat to do a hiking tour. There won't be any tourists there.
There will be three options of hiking. The first two ones, with me. The third one (very easy one), alone.
All the options will finish walking next to olive and almond trees fields and arriving in an small town with coffee place, supermarket, etc.
We will walk all the time in the path forest (no stairs and not paved path).
At 12:40h we’ll go back to Barcelona to arrive at 13:30h

We will leave Barcelona at 6:45h am to arrive in Montserrat at 7:40h. Pick-up will be betweenn 6:20 am and 6:45 am in different spots in Barcelona city. If your hotel is in Eixample neighborhood, let me know where it is and I'll tell you if I'll pick you up in there or very near by.
Abadia De Montserrat
At 7:40 am we will walk to the Abbey to learn the history of Montserrat and at 8h we will visit the Abbey and see the Black Madonna without queuing. Around 8:20h you'll have one hour free time. You can stay all the time you want inside the Abbey, you can have breakfast, etc

5.00This is a unique tour. The guide Albert is full of energy. He is both knowledgable and attentious to details. The tour description is exact. You will do a wonderful hike through the mountains above the abbey in places where no one else is going. Due to the early start, there will be no crowd and no lines, with the sunrise as an welcome bonus. Loved the whole experience.
Fantastic tour and hike. A highlight of our trip to Spain.

5.00Albert was delightful and flexible. He was very knowledgeable about the history and provided great conversation while on the hike. He made it pleasant for those who wanted a challenging hike and those who struggled a bit. He was funny and engaging both in English and in Spanish. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain.

5.00This was my favourite tour while visiting Barcelona. Albert is an excellent, affable and funny guide who patiently got us to the summit of the mountain at Montserrat. The hike took around 1.5 hours from the monastery to the top. It was somewhat steep and at times challenging but absolutely worth it for some breathtaking views at the end. Albert’s knowledge of the history of Montserrat, as well as Catalonia more broadly, made it even worthwhile. I cannot recommend more highly. It was just so much fun!

5.00What an amazing experience from start to finish! Albert was full of energy, super organised, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable — he made the day so enjoyable from the very first moment. We started early, which was the perfect time to visit the monastery — peaceful, quiet, and beautifully foggy as the sun came up. Seeing the Black Madonna before the crowds arrived was really special. The hike was very challenging but absolutely worth it for the breathtaking views from the top! Albert was so supportive and encouraging the whole way, keeping everyone motivated and laughing. My legs are feeling it now 😅 but I’d do it all again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this tour — a must-do when in Barcelona!

5.00The best experience of our trip to Barcelona. Loved that this was a small group of 7. We got up super early to drive to Montserrat to view the sunrise, which was magical. The light was amazing on the mountains and on the monastery. After taking dozens of photos, we then made our way into the monastery to view the Black Madonna, all the while our guide giving us the history of everything we saw. We then grabbed a snack before we started hiking. It is not a technical hike but it is a climb (nature's stairmaster). Albert was great at sensing the breaks the group needed all the while keeping us on time and also very informed our surroundings. He also provided us with water on hike so no real need to carry anything. The views from the top were stunning. After we came down, we had a bit of time to get food and to see what the farmer's market had to offer. We took the cable car down where Albert was waiting for us with the van to go back to Barcelona. We had an amazing time.

His knowledge of Montserrat and its history made the hike so much more meaningful, and his personable, quirky, and fun personality kept us smiling the whole way. He made sure to greet and connect with all guests every step of the tour, which made it feel so personal and welcoming. The hike itself was a great challenge with incredible views. Highly recommend this tour if you want both adventure and an unforgettable experience!

5.00Excellent early morning experience that allowed for us to visit to the Monastery and see the Black Madonna before the crowds arrived. Our guide Albert provided a very informative tour and hike. The terrain and elevation gain is as described for the hike. Wear hiking shoes or athletic shoes with a grip for the terrain which can be a little steep while going up and down the trails. Lots of stone steps and rocky surfaces in some places, but the hike is well worth the effort. Sadly on the day we hiked there was a lot of mist but we had a very memorable experience.

5.00Albert was a great guide! We ended up being the only people on the tour today, Albert gave us lots of insight but also allowed us time to explore on our own. I highly recommend taking this early tour, because visiting the church was so peaceful and quiet in the early morning, and we didn’t have to wait at all.

5.00This was a highlight of our trip. Visiting the Monastery was great, especially since there weren't very many people when we arrived. The hiking portion was amazing, great exercise, company and views. The cliff steps and hermit xaves were especially neat. Our guide was delightful with commentary, and he even brought a bottle of wine for us to share at the top. We did this trip during a heat wave, so getting there early was also good for the hiking!
