  This was a fantastic experience. We saw so much of Madeira during this 8hour trip. The off roading was an absolute blast. Our driver Hugo was so informative, giving us lots of information on the history of the island and the places we visited. This trip is definitely well worth the money. Just wish we were staying longer so that we could have done the West Tour.

  What an amazing adventure we had with Hugo as our driver, guide and source of local knowledge. The off roading was so much fun, too! The views from the top of Pico do Arieiro were spectacular. We paid an extra €20 each and had a fabulous 3 course lunch at a sea and poolside restaurant at Sao Jorge. Everything was way beyond our expectations.   Together with our guide Felipe had a great day. Despite his young age Felipe knows a lot, drives the Jeep as if he has never done otherwise and is very enthusiastic. Highlight for us was view Pico da Arieiro. Also the short Levada walk, visit to Santana and to the Rum factory provided a lot of variety. Felipe's lunch tip; Quinta do Furao is a must.   We were picked up bt Wilson, our driver and guide for the day. He was very knowledgable and friendly with a good sense of of humour. We climbed upto Pico do Areeiro which was rainy and cloudy so we stayed in the 4x4 but the ride up and back down was great due to Wilson’s chat and knowledge. Next to Ribeiro Frio for a walk along a levada to a balcony with stunning views (the sky’s had cleared) then down for a drink at a local bar followed by the off road experience which was both exciting exhilerating if not a little hairy at times, lots of mud and bouncing around took us to Santana for a visit to a real Santana house over 200 hrs old. We then drove for lunch at Quita do Furão followed by a scenic drive to Poto da Cruz for rum tasting and some magnificent wave sin the bay. On to the eastern tip of the island from more amazing views of both the North and South coasts, followed by a scenic drive back to Funchal. An amazing excursion which was only made better by our driver, the wonderful Wilson who was funny bright and knowledgable and made adjustments to the day to take account of the weather. Highly recommend this trip which would not have been half as good without WILSON our awesome driver!

  I went on the East of the island tour. It was wonderful - a lot of fantastic stops and sights. Including a small Rum distillery stop and tasting! We then went for an off-road track which was thrilling to say the least. This also lead to a fantastic spot for lunch. The additional wine tasting at a winery was really great, being able to enjoy the wines of Madeira while looking out onto Sao Vincente and the chapel.

  Amazing tour of the East of the island. Our guide was Joao, who was absolutely brilliant. We loved all of it, excellent value for money. We got to see parts of Madeira we could never have found on our own, incredible scenery and Joao knew lots of local inside information.   We did three tours - East, West, and Central, with Antonio, Nuno, and Antonio. They were AMAZING! The guys were funny, chill, and super knowledgeable about history, culture, and the flora and fauna of the island. We had a wonderful time and would recommend your tours to everyone we know visiting Madeira. Carol also made booking the tours super easy so everything was simple to plan. • A great way to discover the island.

  We did two 4x4 jeep tours with Adventureland during our holiday: West and East. Both times there were just 4 passengers in the Landrover Discovery plus our driverJesse. We loved both tours and enjoyed discovering the beautiful diversity the island has to offer and seeing places which would be inaccessible in a hire car. Jesse was an excellent and skillful driver who navigated every type of road with confidence and at a sensible pace. He was also a very pleasant and convivial guide who struck the right balance between providing interesting information about the surroundings and quiet times to just let the passengers enjoy the scenery. On both tours we opted for the 15€ lunch which was very tasty and great value for money: three courses plus wine. I would absolutely recommend this company and hope to use them again in the future.
