This half-day hummingbird tour offers a rare opportunity to observe dozens of wild hummingbirds up close in a completely open cloud-forest sanctuary near Cali, Colombia. There are no cages or enclosures — hummingbirds fly freely to feeders, creating an ethical and immersive wildlife experience ideal for birdwatchers and photographers.

You will be picked up at your accommodation in Cali and travel about one hour into the western Andes, enjoying scenic views of the cloud forest along the way (the final stretch is on an unpaved mountain road). Once at the sanctuary, you will spend approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes observing dozens of wild hummingbirds flying freely at natural feeders, along with other tropical bird species attracted to fruit feeders. There are no cages or enclosures — the birds come and go naturally. You will have time to take photos, relax in the cool mountain climate, and enjoy a welcome coffee while your bilingual guide shares information about the birds and the ecosystem. After the birdwatching experience, you will make a short stop at a local farm where you can interact with and feed cute baby goats. You will then return to Cali and be dropped off at your original pickup location.

5.00This was a great experience. Cloud forest and long-established bird feeders make for easy bird watching, up close. The diversity of hummingbirds and tanagers makes for a fun time deciding where to look, where to focus and where to take the best photos. And there are many other species as well. A welcoming family, good facilities and a knowledgeable guide all added to the very positive experience.

5.00Amazing experience. Juan Camilo is amazing. He provides so much knowledge about Cali and the history of both the area and the history of the hummingbird bird sanctuary. Very fun and safe experience. I would recommend any of juan camilo’s tours 10/10 if you visit Cali. He is simply the best.

5.00Great place Finca Alejandria garden is famous for attracting MANY species of exotic hummingbirds, tanagers, red headed barbet, bananaquits and more. Photographers paradise! Mateo, My guide was very knowledgeable about the area birds and nature. Unfortunately his car broke down and we had an extended stay (saw more of property but birds significantly less in outskirts) Luckily he was able to get his dad to come and drive me back to my hotel! He says it’s time for a new car!

5.00"The tour was amazing! We had the opportunity to see a lot of hummingbirds, which was spectacular. Then, we went to a path of medium difficulty that allowed us to enjoy nature and beautiful views. Afterwards, we stopped to meet the very adorable baby goats! And to close with a golden clasp, we head to the glass track to enjoy an excellent experience at Piste de Cristal in Cali, Colombia. Without a doubt, a very complete tour and full of unforgettable moments!"

5.00My boyfriend and I loved this tour to observe hummingbirds! Our tour guide was kind, welcoming, and so So knowledgeable. She shared about Colombia’s biodiversity, history, culture, and geography. Seeing the birds (not only hummingbirds) was truly special and something I wish everyone could experience in their lifetime. It was one of the highlights of our trip. On the way back to Cali, we stopped to eat obleas and to visit the sweetest baby goats. It was the best! Aside from the tour, I would also want to share my appreciation for Cali Cultural Tours - even the arranging of the tour was a good experience!

5.00My wife and I had an amazing experience with Juan Camilo. He is very friendly and knowledgeable and keen to make sure you make the most of the whole experience. On the way to the Hummingbird location he explains a lot about Colombia, Cali, the surroundings and of course the Hummingbird Paradise. The place itself is mindblowing, there are so many hummingbirds as well as other beautiful birds. There are plenty of opportunities to take pictures of the birds and to ask questions to Juan. We got coffee and some local delicacies and everything was done in a very relaxed way. I can not think of a better way to see the humming birds in Cali than with Cali Cultural Tours!

5.00This farm is such a hidden gem! Juan Camilo was a fantastic guide and the hosts of the farm are lovely. I enjoyed walking around and seeing everything, including several very uncommon birds, and my spouse took many pictures. Our guide had planned a cute surprise for the trip back to Cali, so I won't spoil it. 🙂
