Our Castle Tour enables you to skip the line into Scotland's most iconic fortification. The 1h30 long tour will cover the 3000 year history of Edinburgh Castle and the significant role it has played in shaping Scotland.
Tour leaves from our start point at 192 High Street, by the statue of Adam Smith.

Although much of the tour is done inside the castle complex, this will not be under cover.
Bags over 30L in volume are not permitted inside the castle and the castle does not provide a locker system for the storage of luggage.

Please Note - Children, aged 15 and under, will not be able to join the tour unless accompanied by a responsible adult
Edinburgh Castle is built on top of the core of an old volcano, the ground is often uneven and at times steep. Be prepared to be on your feet for the full duration of the tour. People with mobility issues may not get the most from this tour.

You will be guided through the grounds of Edinburgh Castle. It is worth to note that we can not take you inside any of the Caste Buildings (no tour operator can) but we will give you the rich history of the Castle, it's place in Scottish history and many of it's more unusual tales so that after the tour you will be able to explore the Castle with a much deeper understanding than a casual visitor.

5.00This tour was absolutely perfect! Our tour guide Steph was knowledgeable, fun, and hilarious. We learned tons of history (and had lots of laughs) through her great storytelling as we walked up the Royal Mile and all throughout the Castle. The tour lasted just over 1.5 hrs, which was a great length to release us to then go into the exhibits. And she ended the tour with some great recommendations. I only had 1 day for tourist activity in Edinburgh and was NOT disappointed.

5.00Koffe was an amazing tour guide! He was knowledgeable, organized and so funny. The tour was well paced, and he did a great job at keeping the group together. You can tell he's really passionate about the history. He gave us a top down explanation for people not familiar with Scotland's history, and knew more than enough to take any question and draw on a wealth of knowledge to clarify. The tour is one thing, but this gentleman made it incredibly memorable and very interesting. He also was upbeat and fun enough to keep kids' attention. I would highly recommend asking for Koffe when booking with this group, because it all but guarantees that you will have a fantastic time

5.00I highly recommend Little Fish Tours. Our guide, Koffe was fantastic, incredible knowledge of Scottish history which he made come alive throughout the tour. He was also extremely entertaining with a great sense of humour.

5.00We joined the Edinburgh Castle tour with Little Fish Tours, and our guide Koffe was absolutely brilliant. His knowledge of Edinburgh’s history was incredible, so detailed and vivid that at times it almost felt like he must be making it up (but he wasn't!). If you’re visiting Edinburgh and want a tour that’s both informative and fun, I highly recommend choosing Little Fish Tours and definitely ask for Koffe if you can. A genuinely lovely guy and a fantastic guide
