Join our small-group walking tour and visit Edinburgh in one day.
Old Town, Edinburgh Castle, New Town, the National Gallery of Scotland and the inside of a historic house museum. You’ll learn about the history, culture and heritage of the Scottish capital, and there will be a break for lunch.

Please wear comfortable shoes, Edinburgh is a hilly city. We also recommend a windproof and rainproof jacket.
You will have free time during the lunch break. There will be cafes, pubs and restaurants for you to choose from with vegan and vegetarian options available.
The duration of the tour will be approx 5 - 5:30 hours, including the lunch break. We may need more time to access the historical sites and navigate the city during peak travel season (April to October), when more travellers are in town. Please note that in these months, the tour might be slightly longer.
The company is not responsible for participants arriving late and missing the beginning of the tour. If you miss the group at the starting point, please note that the first stop of the group would be Charlotte Square

Charlotte Square
Our tour will start in the West End of Edinburgh where we will introduce the city and its neighbourhoods. In Charlotte Square, we'll admire elegant examples of neoclassical architecture and understand why Edinburgh is known as the ‘Athens of the North’
Georgian House
In Charlotte Square we will talk about the most iconic mansion of the New Town, the Georgian House. We will understand what the layout of Georgian townhouses looked like and what high society life was like in 18th and 19th century Edinburgh.

5.00This was a lot of fun and very informative. Lots of walking but that made it even better in my opinion. Walking through the city is absolutely beautiful. Ben was our guide and he was very knowledgeable, personable and an all-around great tour guide. Would highly recommend this tour especially as a first day of your trip activity.

5.00Our guide, Zenon, was incredibly knowledgeable and a great orator. Learned a great lot about the history of Edinburgh and Scotland. Will definitely request him again as a guide in the future. Left with an even greater appreciation for Edinburgh.

5.00We had Mark C as our guide and sincerely, we were so lucky! Mark is an excellent communicator, who has passion for what he does which clearly motivates and inspires everyone around. He speaks very clearly and even my husband from Switzerland, who has sometimes difficulty to understand everything, could understand Mark perfectly! We loved this very thorough, comprehensive and complete tour! Worth every minute. We learned a lot with great fun! Thank you Mark so so much for your professional spirit and openness!

5.00What an awesome overview of the core of Edinburgh and just enough history to provide the context to the city. Mark was a top-notch guide-we feel lucky to have had him. The only thing we wish we would have done is take this tour the first day of our vacation it would have given us a better perspective with which to explore for a week.
