Famous for the Da Vinci Code conspiracy, Rosslyn Chapel is full of mysteries and legends. At first glance, the chapel might look small and humble, but upon closer inspection, you’ll see how awe-inspiring the stone masonry and carvings really are. There’s actually a story about the ‘apprentice pillar’ which you might know, where the apprentice was left to carve one pillar by himself and the work was so spectacular, the master mason killed him in a fit of jealousy!

North Berwick Law

As you approach Berwick, the landscape is fairly flat aside from Berwick Law, a large hill protruding from the ground. It’s a prominent landmark in Scotland and actually features two whale bones on the summit (now made of fibreglass), which makes for a rather cool picture.

Lovely tour at a pace which suited us. Fraser our guide was well versed with what we needed to see and was a pleasure to listen to. Often guides can become monotone but he kept us interested throughout. Well done hopscotch

What an incredible tour! We started off at Tantallon Castle, which is one of the most spectacular, picturesque sights I’ve ever seen. We then stopped for lunch in North Berwick, a beautiful seaside town. The Rosslyn chapel was something else though! What an amazing restoration. Fraser was an incredible tour guide. He really was vested in getting to know us and tailor our experience. He shared historical context everywhere we went. He also provided us numerous recommendations in other parts of Scotland. The tour wouldn’t have been complete without Fraser! Ask for him!
