The two tour guides we had were exceptional with the wealth of knowledge and education they provided. We were also really impressed with their ability to present in both English and Spanish to accommodate the entire group.

The tour guide was very nice and funny, and the driver did an excellent job navigating the rainforest roads. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this trip. The rainforest portion was very short—we barely walked half a mile. The observation tower was just okay, and the river stop was underwhelming, with lots of rocks and cold water. Then we went to Luquillo Beach, which wasn’t my cup of tea. The beach was dirty and not well-maintained, and it was crowded with locals. We ended up taking an Uber back. While the staff were wonderful, the tour didn’t meet my expectations. I had hoped for a longer, more immersive rainforest experience and a cleaner, more relaxing beach visit.

Our family had a great time touring El Yunque! Our driver and guide, Rafael, was a lot of fun, and we were impressed with his ability to share information with our group in both English and Spanish. The national forest was beautiful, and swimming in the river was a unique highlight that we'll always remember. Luquillo Beach was a great way to end the trip, with a good lunch and some time in the water to cool off. Recommended for anyone looking for a little adventure and a chance to step outside of San Juan.

This excursion was just “so-so”. We were expecting more of a hiking experience in the rain forest. However, the rain forest is gorgeous. For us, too much time at the beach (which many I’m sure enjoyed). Our tour guide, Angel, was tremendous. He gave us a lot of the history and identified plants and wildlife. We did get an opportunity to sample the Mofongo! Very delicious. Overall, we enjoyed the excursion but we would look for a different one with more hiking in the future.

It was relatively easy, less stressful, lovely and informative guide (as advertised). We didn’t have time to do much at Loquilla other than sit down for a meal and maybe have 15 mins to spare. We weren’t looking to sit at the beach with no shade so it worked out well

We loved visiting El Yunque with Rafael! He was charming and knowledgeable and lots of fun. He called the day before to confirm pickup time and place and arrived promptly. El Yunque was beautiful and we loved going on this tour. It is not strenuous. My only complaint would be the Luquillo Beach stop. 2 hours is too long for this stop. The beach itself is pretty but many of the kiosks were either not open or vacant and there was a lot of trash in these vacant spots. Luquillo Beach kiosk owners needs to clean up their area. We did have a tasty lunch at Kiosk 50 El Fuego.
