  Magical. As someone who grew up on the Monterey Bay (Monterey, PG, and Santa Cruz) I have always been aware of Elkhorn Slough, but hadn't ever exerienced it from a boat. El Cat is the perfect boat built locally and exactly for the purpose of taking passengers into this biodiverse treasure trove of life. The skills, knowledge, and enthuiasm displayed by the Captian and Naturalist is oustanding, these folks truly enjoy their work. We experienced so many more bird species than we thought, so many otters and pups, seals, sea lions, and a much deeper understanding of local Moss Landing history.

  Cindy; the naturalist on board, did an amazing job of making sure everyone had the best experience. Her knowledge of the wild life, and the waterway was exceptional.

  Monterey Bay Eco Tour gave us an exceptional experience! Everything about it was perfect, from the impressive battery powered catamaran to the knowledge and friendly staff to the amazing wildlife viewing. Just wonderful! I highly recommend it!

  It depends on the wildlife out there. We had a few otters, some nice wading birds. The host missed a lot of them. Don’t do this trip unless you have good binoculars-X 10 or more would be best.

  There’s nothing quite like exploring the slough and discovering its ecosystems aboard an electric catamaran—it was an incredible experience! We had a great guide as well. Very interactive with the passengers
