The Equator park tour takes you to the most visited touristic destination in Ecuador. It’s a must-visit.
You can choose to visit the Equator during the morning or afternoon.
It’s easily accessible from both the city center and the airport area.
Furthermore, it will give you something fun and interesting to do if you have some time to spare while waiting to catch a flight in the evening or if you have a free day during your travel time in Ecuador.
Equator Park is like no other place on Earth. You can literally stand on the Equatorial Line and jump back and forth from the Northern to the Southern hemispheres. You can have someone take the quintessential pic standing atop of the Equator. The park was recently renovated and it now offers tons of fun and interesting things to do at zero latitude.

Intinan Equator Museum
Today you will have a great half day tour. You get picked up at your hotel or the Quito airport by your local bilingual guide in comfy and private transportation. We head out to San Antonio de Pichincha where the Equator crosses. This drive takes anywhere from 45 min to 1 hour depending on traffic. Once we arrive to the Intiñan Solar Museum, your guide will pay the entrance fees and you will explore the Equator site along with a knowledgeable and bilingual museum guide. The tour take about 1 hour. On the way back to Quito or the airport we will stop at a Empanada shop where we will enjoy a tasty empanada and have a nice chat. After the empanadas we will make our way back to your Quito hotel or the airport.
Optional stop for the best empanadas in Quito on the way back from the Equator museum. These empanadas are oh so tasty and a great way to end the tour.

5.00The trip from Quito to the equator is not far, but the chaotic streets of Quito make it necessary to hire a guide to get you there safely and in one piece. Andres did a phenomenal job navigating the way safely and once there had a great time at the museum. I highly recommend Andres as he will get you there safely while learning about Ecuador during your trip.

5.00We want to express our highest recommendation of Andres and the day trip to the equator from Quito. This was a perfect trip for us having a late flight and a day in Quito. Andres was very proactive and reached out to coordinate on what’s app. He is a great guide and really gave us a lot of good information on the way to and from the tour. His car is immaculately clean and he is ready to answer any question. The equator tour was very interesting and provided lots of great info into the indigenous people of Ecuador. On the way back, we had time for lunch and we stopped at a local empanada shop. Couldn’t recommend more of you have a day or afternoon in Quito.
