With us you will experience cities and musea in a new, fun and interactive way. It is self-guided, so you can start whenever you are ready. Using the app, you will walk through the city or a museum, while solving puzzles and riddles. Each game has a compelling storyline, where you help the main character escape or solve an urgent mission.
This City Xperience takes you back to the year 1800 in Gouda. Ans van Kempen is a widow with 3 children who is about to be evicted. She now has a final chance to get the money she needs. An ancestor of her husband worked for countess Jacoba in her castle at the border of the city. He hid gold bars that she gave him in a secret tunnel below the castle. He left instructions on how to find the tunnel, but so far nobody has been able to. Will you manage to find the entrance within 2 hours?
The game will lead you to 20 locations: the most famous sites of the city and lesser known sites. The Experience is available in Dutch.

Way too expensive, some puzzles very complicated

1.00We thought we had a nice activity to do together with family in Gouda. That was very disappointing. There were a lot of word searchers in it, words where the question is whether they come back in another text and how often. The first six assignments included two such search puzzles. Furthermore, the difference in challenge between the assignments was very large. Sometimes you spent a minute, and sometimes more than 15min. Eventually, as adults, we were doing puzzles and my children had dropped out. After assignment 9, we stopped it altogether. So 18 euros as far as we are concerned is definitely not worth it.

5.00The app was clear, the route to walk also very clear. Questions / assignments nice, some a little too far-fetched and 1 assignment was wrong in our opinion. But otherwise in a nice way learned a lot about Gouda and Things to do.
