Easter marks a very important interest and enthusiasm among the Christian community in Ethiopia being the last major religious festival. Believers of the Ethiopian Orthodox church await its arrival with great eager passing through a long lent period of 55 days where no animal product of meat, milk or egg shall not be consumed during this period. One week before Easter is called “HeMamat” a time to remember the suffering, beatings, wounds and pains of Jesus. In this week, people would not laugh, kiss, joke or make any fun but try to be on strict remembrance of those troubles of the Lord. A week after Easter is also a colorful festival called “Dagme Tinsae”, which marks the ascension of Jesus to heaven. This is also equally celebrated with the main Easter festival.

Day 1: Addis Ababa 10 min drive to the hotel. Arrival Addis Ababa and meet. Then transfer your hotel. Day 2: Addis Ababa – Lalibela Day 3: Lalibela - Eve Of Ethiopian Easter In the morning you will continue your journey into Ethiopia’s long and marvelous past with a visit to other St. Lalibela’s remarkable churches. In the afternoon, you will visit one of the most colorful annual Easter Market at Lalibela. In the evening, you will witness one of the most important ceremonies of Easter in one of the biggest rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, Bete Medhanialem. Overnight stay in Lalibela. Day 4: Lalibela - Axum Mysterious Monoliths Day 5: Axum - Simen Mountain Day 6: Drive Debarq – Gondar (The Camelot of Africa) Overnight in Gondar. Day 7: Bahir Dar – Addis Ababa Day 8: Addis Ababa - Awassa Day 9: Awassa - Arba Minch Day 10: Arba Minch-Turmi Safari at Lake Chamo Nech SAR National Parks .Drive Konso to Turmi on the way we will see the villages of Benna,Tsemay tribes and later after we arrive in the town of Turmi we will be visiting the tribes of Hammer and overnight will be at Turmi Lodge. Day 11: Turmi - Omorate - Jinka excursion to Omorate to visit the Dassanech people ‘people of the Delta’, who lives on the northern shore of Lake Turkana. Visit and drive back to Jinka for lunch we will be driving to Mursi village to see the Mursi tribes back to Jinka resort overnight Day 12: Jinka - Welayta Sodo Early in the morning we will visit the villages of Ari Tribes and we will have a chance of seeing how they are making pottery and weaving later we will be driving to the town of Welayta Sodo for dinner and overnight. Day 13: Welayta Sodo - Addis Ababa In the morning we will be driving to Addis Ababa on the way we will see the UNESCO site of Tiya stlea then we will be driving to the Rock Hewan Churches of Adadi Maryam(a church built by st Lalibela) . In the evening attend a folkloric dinner where you will have a chance to taste several national dishes and watch dances of the various ethnic groups of Ethiopia. The traditional coffee ceremony will also be served. Later you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.

5.00The trip was amazing. Ethiopia is a country full of friendly people, great natural parks and beauty, many historic churches and unique tribal groups . Aman Ethiopian Tours organized a great tailor made trip for my son and I with good hotels , GREAT GUIDES, really good transport and lots of attention to detail. All three guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Joseph who was our guide in the south was especially well informed and friendly. I highly recommend this tour and tour company.

5.00My father and I had an amazing trip through Ethiopia with Aman Ethiopia tours. The itinerary was well thought through, we saw all the sites in the country that we had been interested to see. The plan included a wide variety of elements from beautiful nature, to ancient historical sites, to modern living tribal cultures. The company did an excellent job of finding us the best available hotels in the areas we were traveling and at each step in the trip they had fantastic regional and local tour guides to make the whole experience extra memorable. The regional guides were also great at dealing with the uncertainties that often come up with traveling in Africa and made sure that the whole thing ran smoothly. I'd highly recommend both the company and this tour in particular for anyone who is traveling to Ethiopia for the first time. It really hits all the highlights.

5.00A complete tour of Ethiopia, from south to north, through Afar, Lalibela, Gondar, tribe from Omo Valley, excellently organized by Amanuel. Moreover, through his collaborators, I also went to Djibouti and Somaliland under conditions of maximum safety. Thank you Amanuel!

5.00There's no doubt it was a trip of a lifetime! We went first to the volcanoes, sulfur lakes and salt lakes on the northern border of Ethiopia, where the nature of the trip was unmatched in beauty beyond words; then to the Omo Valley region, where we looked at the original tribal people of Ethiopia, where the trip was all the more shocking and still immerses me in the excitement of peace! Especially this travel agency, the service is excellent we are satisfied! We were in a try-and-see mentality through hotel help, we had a lot of unexpected problems with our 10-plus day trip, travel agencies were the first to help solve never bargain with us, they spent a lot more money as a result. Even more bizarre, during our week-long trip to the Omo Valley, all of our accommodations were the best four-star hotels in the area, and the restaurants at the hotels we ate were all at our discretion. We ordered our own liquor, and the owner didn't impose any restrictions. Then the guide checked out! This is the first time I've ever had such a super treatment and the boss said believe us Chinese! Because we are not familiar with African food ordering a lot more food caused waste, we feel sorry! After the trip, the boss himself dined us at the best hotel in Addis. Our African friends were really sincere. They wanted more foreigners to travel. Recommend Chinese friends, make sure to go to Africa once, especially Ethiopia. Recommended this travel agency sincerely!
