That’s why we prefer to do 90 minute cruises instead of 60.
We use one of a kind ships, they distinguish themselves from the mainstream and most have historical value.
The captains are locals and prefer to operate in a personal setting and like to engage with the interests of our guests. Small groups, more information and the option to zoom in on subjects.
You will see more then the city centre. We visit the old city but you will also see more modern architecture & developments.

5.00We had a lovely 90 minute night time Light Festival cruise. Our guide/host/captain was Floris who was very entertaining and made the trip very interesting. We had a few nibbles and drinks on board and shared the cruise with one other couple. The snow made Amsterdam look even more pretty. We would highly recommend this cruise to others.

5.00We had a very nice boat trip through the Amsterdam canal with the Amsterdam light festival in a beautiful boat. Nice and warm, delicious snacks and a very nice skipper who told about the history of Amsterdam and the beautiful lights. All that made possible by a free upgrade due to weather conditions, it was great thank you.

5.00We were lucky enough to be visiting Amsterdam during Sail 2025 and we booked with Leemstar through our hotel. We were able to do the canal cruise and enter the harbor and see all of the magnificent vessels docked. It was an incredible experience and I can’t give enough praise to the captain who was able to navigate the busy canals and harbor with expert skill and ease. We were a small group of 6 and the boat had an indoor and outdoor area to enjoy the experience. We had drink service with Champagne, wine, water, soda. And blankets on board if the weather got chilly. Also very nice to have WC on the boat if needed. It was one of the highlights of our visit and we will absolutely do it again with Leemstar the next time we are visiting.
