Kenai Fjords National Park
At the edge of the Kenai Peninsula lies a land where the ice age lingers. Nearly 40 glaciers flow from the Harding Icefield, Kenai Fjords’ crowning feature. Wildlife thrives in icy waters and lush forests around this vast expanse of ice. Native Alutiiq relied on these resources to nurture a life entwined with the sea.

This was a very strenuous adventure. I recommend that you wear good waterproof hiking boots for this activity. Our guides were great and went at our pace, which at times were much slower especially on the way back. The glacier was amazing and beautiful. I highly recommend this activity just be prepared for a long day.

What an incredible experience!! Our guide, Dahlia, was so awesome! It's a 2-hour hike up and 2 hour hike down the mountain - with some steep areas - to get to/from the glacier. That part itself was breathtaking, and words and pictures can't describe being on the glacier itself. There's an opportunity to lean over to peer right down into a crevice, fully harnessed. I opted out of that. I felt safe the entire time - Dahlia was great with explanations and instructions!!!
