We provide visitors the opportunity to immerse yourself in the phenomenon of Gaelic Games, the national sports on our island. UNESCO recognised, our unique approach to the Gaelic Games Experience introduces you to Ireland’s ancient past creating walk away memories to last a lifetime. Our experience allows participation in Ireland’s greatest cultural secret and most popular pastimes – Gaelic Football, Hurling (Stick and Ball game) and Gaelic Handball. It is suitable for all ages and abilities, prepare to be surprised!
It's full of fun and laughter and delivered in the heart of the community in a real Gaelic Club. It's an mix of culture, history, sport and soft activity. All you need are flat shoes and a willingness to have fun! Think Soccer, Rugby, Basketball, Volleyball, Golf, Hockey, Lacrosse and Baseball all combined into the one. Then add on over 3000 years of history. It is an opportunity to do something truly unique, allowing you to become Gaelic Warriors for the first time!

Experience a Gaelic Games session at a local Gaelic club called "Na Fianna", just 10 minutes bus journey from city centre. Our modern facility includes a dedicated visitor centre. Three public bus routes (number 4, 9 and 155) stop directly across the road. Sessions start with an introduction which includes history of the games, their revered place in Irish life. Following the engaging introduction, it's outside where you'll partake in gentle team building activities of Gaelic Football, Hurling and Handball. You’ll need flat footwear and a willingness to have fun. Casual clothing is preferable. Bring sporting attire if you'll get competitive. There is water, tea/coffee available. If you wish to use our on-site dressing rooms/showers, please bring your own towels/toiletries. Interaction makes the event: our trainers are great; they are passionate about their beloved games and really interact with visitors. Depending on the group you most likely play mini-matches - all in good fun!

5.0012 Men for a Bachelor Trip to Ireland and looking back it would not have been complete without Gaelic Games. Learning about the history, the sports, and playing (or trying to) added a whole new appreciation for the Irish, the community, and sport. On top of all of it, we even were notified about a local hurling match that we were able to get tickets for! Thank you to the whole Experience Gaelic Games staff! Thanks a million for your patience, sharing your knowledge, and adding to a memorable trip!

5.00We had a great time learning to play Gaelic sports as part of a 14-man stag party. This was the perfect activity and, even in the rain, we had unbelievable craic. The coaches were very patient but facilitated really fun games that suited our ability. We got a great feel for what these sports represent in the Irish culture and we enjoyed the Guinness in the bar afterwards. Thank you so much!

It was a unique opportunity to actively engage with Irish history, culture, and tradition in a way that was both fun and genuinely meaningful. The session struck a perfect balance between energetic participation and more contemplative moments that helped us better understand the deeper cultural importance of the games. Joe was an exceptional instructor: patient, knowledgeable, and highly skilled at meeting everyone where they were, regardless of age or athletic background. He created an environment that was welcoming, encouraging, and engaging from start to finish. This is far more than a typical tourist activity. It is hands-on, authentic, and memorable. I would strongly recommend this experience to active families, teams, or any group looking for a thoughtful and immersive way to connect with Irish culture.

5.00This experience was such a highlight for our family. Jack was patient, understanding, and knowledgeable. From the young (8 yrs old) to the not to young (72 yrs old), everyone had a great time learning the how to of theses games, as well as the history.

5.00This was such a great experience for our family. The coaches and staff were so nice and attentive. We were instructed on gaelic football, hurling and handball. The team made it accessible to our family ages 8 through 50. I highly recommend this activity!

5.00We went while we were in Dublin for the US College football game. We had a good time, learned so much about not only the sports but the culture. We got to try our hand at hurling and Irish football. We have a great appreciation for the athletes that play these games- truly talented. the staff that explained and showed us what to do were great. You could participate at what ever level you could, they were very knowledgable and great to work with No stress just fun.

The historical information about the games was so interesting to learn; and our coach was engaging and made the experience fun for everyone. A fantastic way to experience another part of Irish culture and share time as a family!

5.00We had an absolute blast and it was the highlight of our trip to Dublin. We booked a private group and had Jack as our guide, he was a wealth of knowledge and really made the experience for us. 10/10 would recommend, it’s a great way to learn about Irish sport and culture while getting moving and doing something unique. Now I need to buy a Hurley!

5.00It wasn’t listed as an option here, but we went in Cork. Our host/instructor Shane was amazing. He was enthusiastic, patient and informative. We went with a group of children, teens, adults and grandparents and everyone loved it. We would highly recommend trying this. We even went to a hurling match to cheer on Shane’s club St. Finnbarr’s.
