National Museum of Ethiopia

The oldest museum in Ethiopia, its most famous exhibit is "Lucy", the 3.5 million year old skeleton whose discovery in 1974 demonstrated that bipedal hominids evolved much earlier than previously thought. The museum also holds many other palaeontological and archaeological artefacts, as well as ethnographic and modern art displays.

Biruk is such a great guide. My wife and I not only went to the market with him, but also he invited us home. He and his family warmly welcomed us, offered us raw meat and local coffee. His guiding is top and we loved every minute with him. Highly recommended.

We had a great tour of Merkato with our lovely guide Biruk! He helped us better understand the importance of the market, and showed us around to the different parts of it. Biruk is knowledgeable and we felt very safe walking around the market with him! Totally recommended.

We had a great experience diving deep into the Mercato with Biruk. We saw parts we definitely would not have seen without his guidance. He was very knowledgable and we learned much about what we saw and Ethiopian culture. I highly recommend booking with Biruk!

Without his guide, I wouldn't have had such an amazing experience. He led me through the maze of Addis Ababa's markets, introduced me to local vendors, and helped me navigate the city with ease. Had a great day with Biruk exploring Addis Ababa. Biruk was easy to communicate with using Whatsapp and flexible on the tour start time. The tour was relaxed and explored the main sights. Biruk was great at talking through the history of Ethiopia and also took me to some very nice local coffee places and a great place for a local lunch
