Visit the street where Rihanna once lived and see the outside of the home she lived in. The next stop will be Cherry Tree Hill for its breathtaking views from there we will make our way to Morgan Lewis Windmill. As we come down onto the coastline we will travel through Cattlewash and make a stop in Bathsheba which was named for its great beauty; it is also the location of the Soup Bowl the favorite stop for surfers in Barbados. Our next stop will be St John's Church one of the oldest churches on the island, set on a cliff and capturing spectacular views we will then journey through St George past the Gun Hill signal station and the great white Lion as we make our way to the Garrison Historic area. For the second part of your day we welcome you on board Tranquility Cruises for a 90 minute cruise in Carlisle Bay with two stops. One to swim with the turtles and One to snorkel at a shipwreck. The perfect end to a day exploring Barbados.

PLEASE NOTE !! If you do not enter or select a pick up location your tour will be cancelled as without this information we can not collect you for the tour. PLEASE submit the name of your hotel or accommodation at the time of booking. If your accommodation is not listed please select the closest hotel to your accommodation. Once your booking is made please then contact us through the message center to advise us of the location you are staying. Please be mindful we only pick up from coastal areas along the South and West Coast unless you are booked on a private tour or your booking is 10 or more persons. In such cases we can make exceptions.

If you suffer from motion sickness, we recommend taking precautions before the start of the tour. Please also advise your tour guide. Whilst we can sympathize and will try to make you as comfortable as possible our island roads can be bumpy at windy. We must also ensure we take care of all our customers and ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle. If you are ill on board, you will be required to reimburse the driver before the end of the tour for the cleaning fee of between US seventy five and one hundred and fifty dollars. Thank you for your kind understanding. This is not applicable to the boat portion of your tour.

Cherry Tree Hill

Cherry Tree Hill is eight hundred and fifty (850) ft above sea level and is a part of St. Nicholas Abbey plantation. Actually due to the size of the St. Nicholas Abbey property, Cherry Tree Hill actually borders, St.Peter and St. Andrew. Many years ago, the drive on either side to get to it was flanked by cherry trees, thus the reason for its name; however these were replaced with mahogany trees which now line the road. The trees were planted in celebration of the signing of The Treaty of Paris in 1763. This is when France gave England back the islands that they had stolen from them during the Napoleonic wars. (Barbados was not one of the Islands Captured)

Morgan Lewis Mill

The Morgan Lewis Sugar Mill was built in 1727 it is one of the many Barbadian windmills once used to produce sugar, and one of the two last functioning sugar windmills in the world. The Morgan Lewis Mill ceased grinding sugarcane for commercial purposes in 1947 and was subsequently given to the Barbados National Trust. The site was listed in the 1996 World Monuments Watch by the World Monuments Fund. Restoration began by the Barbados National Trust during the following summer. In 1997, financial support was provided by American Express for emergency repairs. The mill was reopened in 1999. With all its original working parts having been preserved intact, the sails were able to turn again after the project was completed.

Driver was great! Vans AC was at a minimum. Was disappointed that on the boat excursions first stop , because some people saw turtles while snorkeling, the guys in charge felt that we didn’t need to make the actual turtle stop. So most didn’t see turtles.

Even though the weather prevented us from doing the sea part of the excursion. We still had an excellent sightseeing and beach time. Kwame was our tour guide and he was nice and very funny. Loved the parts we did see and they partially refunded us without me even asking because the weather prevented us from going on the boat. So I highly recommend this excursion

The lad portion was a nice tour of the island. The snorkeling trip was the best we’ve ever been to! The tour guides were great! We saw so many beautiful fish and several turtles. The shipwrecks were nice and close.

This tour was awesome! Our tour guide, Winston, was great, caring and very knowledgeable. Customer service alerted me the day before about my pick-up time change, so I was ready the tour bus came to get me. The actual tour was very concise with a great summary of Barbados' landmarks. I never felt bored or like we were staying in any stop too long. Every stop had great places to take pictures. The tour showed me more places I wanted to see and allowed me to get comfortable being a solo tourist. Thanks everyone who made possible this unforgettable experience! I can't wait to come back to Barbados again.

Omar was a wonderful driver. He timed everything perfectly and very knowledgeable and friendly. The boat ride was also a fun and fantastic way to see the turtles, ship wreck and stingrays. Very worth it!

I went on a very similar tour a few years back and it was probably just a little better hence the good rating rather than the great rating. Factor number 1 is the traffic is so much worse than it was years ago so getting from Oistins to Holetown took absolutely ages in crawling traffic - this of course was no fault of Stephen's (our driver and guide) but it did mean that we arrived at the boat much later that expected and didn't have time for any food (by this time it was after 1pm and we had joined the tour at 8:45) - the boat has no drinks or food aboard so we had to sneek a couple of beers and cookies on as we were starved! The tour itself is breathtakingly beautiful and very good value. I didn't realise the boat was just for snorkelling from - I thought it would be a little cruise and as my husband isn't much of a swimmer he stayed on board alone which wasn't great for him as no-one else did. It was a pity that our 10 other bus companions weren't particularly friendly so we didn't have the reparty that we had on the previous trip - I was too far down the bus to ask questions of Stephen but I did find what he was saying very interesting and informative.

Out of all the places we visited which was only 4 stops the rest was a drive by. My partner enjoyed the snorkeling with the turtles but again you didn't go to far out. n the boat. So out of 7 hour round trip it was only 5. Average not brilliant.

The tour Barbados by land and sea was extraordinary! Mr. Glien, our tour guide was well versed in the history of Barbados! He offered lots of opportunities for photos and shopping. Mr. Glien was kind, offered humor and a good time! 100% recommend. The tour by sea was beyond amazing! We saw the most beautiful water I have ever seen! Thank you Tranquility Tours!

Our experience with Steven the land tour guide gentleness exceptional. He was well informed and very cordial; very nice! On the other hand the sea portion of the tour was not the best; we felt rushed between stops and the staff were not very fried, rather blunt. At one point I was not sure if they were being amusing or just main rude. Turtles were hard to be seen; one of the tour guide Marco asked if everyone had seen the turtles, my sister replied with yes a small one the. He says “ok then you saw turtles “ We got one drink on board at the end (punch) at that point we just wanted to get out! On that note the 5 score review goes strictly to the land tour!

We had the most fantastic day with our tour guide Stephen! He went above and beyond to make sure we saw all the amazing beaches and views Barbados has to offer. The lunch was absolutely delicious and he even went out of his way to pick up everyone on the tour their own locally made rum cake! Thanks again Stephen for making this a highlight of our trip! You will not regret booking this tour!
