What makes this tour unique is the fact that it would be difficult and hardly as pleasant for non-athletes to explore its natural beauty with conventional bikes. The route to Milikouri climbs from 440 to 800m through Platys River Valley which is located deep in the Paphos Forest and even most locals are unaware about it's existence. That's not a problem for the e-bikes! Our e-bikes will expand your riding possibilities without compromising the feeling and health benefits of conventional bikes. You still ride a bike but when you push the pedals of a pedal-assist e-bike, a small motor engages and gives you boost so you can zip up hills and cruise over tough terrain. You can go further, faster and with less effort so you can enjoy the ride to the fullest!

This will be the starting point of our tour, we will meet there and make a small briefing about the route and gear. Before we start you will receive full instructions on how to use your e-bike as well as general safety instructions.

Paphos Forest

Platys River is one of the two roots of Diarizos River. The area north of the famous Tzelefos Medieval Bridge until Milikouri Village is known as the Platys River Valley and is considered as one of the most magical places to see across the whole island as it is an area with rich vegetation within the deep Paphos Forest. Start: Tzelefos Bridge (440m altitute) Distance to Milikouri (800m altitute): 14km (2km asfalt), (10km dirt road) Overall distance: 28km Duration: 4 hours (biking time 2.5 hours)-total time may vary depending on group Before we start you will receive full instructions on how to use your e-bike as well as general safety instructions. We will ride our e-bikes to Milikouri village and back. The route to Milikouri climbs from 440 to 800m. That's not a problem for the e-bikes! They make the climb easy and pleasant, giving the opportunity to recreational cyclists and less physically active individuals, to enjoy the natural beauty and the view of this unknown part of Cyprus which would have been almost impossible to do with regular bikes. Arriving at Milikouri, one of the most remoted and isolated villages in the heart of Paphos Forest, everything is so peacefull and quiet that you have the sense that time stopped and you are in the middle of nowhere! We will make a break here under a big plane tree at a small traditional restaurant at the center of the village. At Platanos restaurant we will have a coffee and enjoy some traditional treats (meze) that are made by hand from materials that are produced traditionaly, from the restaurant owners and other small producers in the area. We will have some "real" halloumi, lountza, pitta, olives, fresh tomatoes, souvlaki and other delicious meze. After we eat and get some rest (about 1 hour) we will start our return journey.

We loved our circular cycle tour - it was the best thing we did in Cyprus. Pambos is a great guide. Stunning views, quiet roads, a beautiful waterfall, a medieval bridge in the forest, a quick stop for a beer and all so easy on his brand new e-bikes. A fabulous 3 hours. Can’t recommend it enough.

This was a great tour. The guide, Pambos, was really nice and communicative from booking through to completion. The e-bikes make it a very easy ride; I have some lower back problems after an injury but was completely fine on the bike. Covid did affect things as the restaurant for lunch was closed, but Pambos refunded money for lunch and offered cancellation and full refund if preferred. There was a little less riding time than expected - probably about 2-2.5 hours all told then an hour or so of stops, refreshments and sightseeing. If you're after a leisurely ride (as opposed to full-on mountain biking) and want to escape the towns, cities and beaches I'd really recommend this.

Pambos was a great guide and it's a really interesting route! The bikes are fantastic and make what would be a challenging ride really easy.

As 2 around-60-year-olds, we are not regular cyclists and yet we enjoyed this experience immensely!! Pambos, our lovely guide, led us on forest tracks, often following a beautiful babbling river. We stopped at a little mountain village in the middle of nowhere for refreshments (usually lunch, but the restaurant was shut due to covid!). Be prepared to get a sore behind, if you're also not regular cyclists, but well worth it! Cycling through Pathos forest is a delightful experience, not to be missed, with some beautiful scenery and fantastic views along the way. Pambos ensured that we were comfortable and confident on the bikes at all times, which were of excellent quality. Thanks Pambos for a great experience!

An amazing way to get away from the noisy town, the everyday routine and get to a peacful environment in nature exploring the picturesque villages, the vineyard roads and trails. Riding this kind of e-mountain bike it's amazing because you can ride effortlessly since it gives you a push when necessary. You don't have to be a cyclist athlete to enjoy the experience. Thank you "Recharged e-mountain bike rentals & tours" for the wonderful experience. I really got "recharged"! I strongly recommend it!!!

This tour was one of the most amazing experiences i had in Cyprus (and im a local)! I have booked the tour with a friend as we wanted to do something new and different that involved nature, and it was such a pleasnt surprise! The cycling trail was leading to Milikouri village throught the forest beside the river, the scenery was soo beautifull and peacefull that we didn't want it to end! The village was quite and picturesque with no tourists but just the locals, they have welcomed us to a nice family tavern and the food was delicious. Pambos (the guide) was amazing from the beginning till the end. He explained how to use the ebikes and was a great (and fun) companion throught the whole journey. What surprised me the most is how easy it was riding the e-bikes through the trail especially the hills! Overall i highly recomend this tour for everyone that loves nature and adventure!
