Vinicunca Mountain
The start of the walk is at 4600 meters above sea level, the watchtower of the Vinicunca mountain at 5040 meters above sea level. About 3.5 km separate the two places. It takes about 2 hours to get up. The lack of oxygen due to altitude makes the climb difficult and not the height difference. The traveller spends about 30 minutes at the watchtower. It is also possible to continue the ascent for about fifteen minutes in order to be able to contemplate the Red Valley below. Lunch on site. The descent takes about 1 hour. Return by minibus, arriving in Cusco around 19:00.

5.00I recently traveled to Cusco with a group of friends and we were so happy with the bookings we made with Ritisuyo. Nelson is a very nice and responsive person and handled everything from activities, transport and food. We absolutely loved our 1-day adventures to Rainbow Mountain, Machu Picchu, and the Sacred Valley. 5.00Had a great experience on this trip! Thanks for the tip with the red valley, totally worth the extra steps :) if you have a bit more time, consider the two day version of this trip Ritisuyo offers via the ausangate - it looks amazing, but unfortunately there weren’t enough people to form a group for me to do it, so I’m spreading the word here ;)
