Did a cooking class here, and it was the most wonderful experience. They were so kind and the food was delicious. Van speaks very good English and communicates very good. Chef Thong guided the cooking very good. They are very nice. Definitely worth a stop 100% recommend.

Amazing cooking experience including delicious passion fruit juice on arrival, walk to the herb and vegetable garden (and helping plant some seedlings), preparing and cooking the most delicious spring rolls and other prawn dish. We then enjoyed all our food along with some delicious chef prepared turmeric chicken and morning glory topped off with banana pancakes!!! What an absolute treat with the best chef Thom and wonderful guide Bau (really hope I’ve spelt correctly). Thank you so much for sharing your time with us. We loved it 10/10

Great experience with my wife Tania. Firstly, seeing and getting involved in the family vegetable garden then having a cooking class learning how to cook spring rolls and pancakes. Also enjoyed a delicious chicken dish and ice cream.
Authentic ( but easily recreated in your country) Cooking Class! DONT miss!

Our group of 6 ( 19-60+ yo) went on a vegetable gardening tour and cooking class here. We saw and had a chance to use the traditional tools in the quaint vegetable gardens then went back to Basil Restaurant for our cooking class. One of our group is vegan and dishes were adjusted for her. We made crispy spring rolls, and the local specialty rice pancakes. All ingredients were explained and we are confident to be able to recreate at home! More dishes made by chef were offered after we ate our own creations. This tour is a must, go on an empty stomach!

The experience at Tra Que Basil Restaurant was fantastic! We loved learning about how the family have farmed there for generations, then it was so much fun having a cooking class with super fresh produce, and sitting down to eat a delicious meal that we had contributed to. Thank you to Vanh and your wonderful father, plus of course the chef!

So great to see how the local Vietnamese people work in their gardens! They are so passionate about their gardens! This was amazing fresh produce bought to our tables which we cooked! Chef Blue and Van were very friendly and loved sharing their local knowledge with us! Food and amazing - we loved making spring rolls!

This cooking class and farm tour is a must do while in Hoi An. My husband and I loved the hospitality and food so much, we returned the next night for dinner. Van and her family are so kind and helpful, we both learned a lot. My husband and I cannot wait to try making some of the recipes we learned when we get home. We made the fresh spring rolls and the crispy pancake spring rolls. When we travel back to Hoi An with some family, we will be taking them here!

We had a great day at the cooking class and farming at Tra Que Basil Restaurant as part of the Luxury Escape package. We got to explore the community farm areas, tried our hand at planting, cooking class and then at a fabulous meal for lunch. Loved the experience...thanks so much dor a great day

The cooking class was an amazing authentic Vietnamese experience. The staff were so lovely and made for such a nice time. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting hoi an as it’s worth it!! Food was amazing

We did the private garden tour and cooking class. It was one of our highlight experiences in Vietnam. Van, our hostess, Mr Blue, the chef, and Farmer Mr Hai were all incredibly hospitable. The gardening experience was so much fun and the food was so delicious. Would highly recommend this authentic experience that gives you a taste of local life.
