The meeting point is at the “Terrua” coffee shop; our friends from Terrua are going to share with us their great passion for Peruvian coffee. After this taste is time to jump to the city center using the “Metropolitano”, Lima ́s public transportation

At the city center, the walk will start around the “Mercado Central” Over here we can try a Smoothie made of “Lucuma”, another Andean superfood that you are going to love

After the “Mercado Central” and China town the tour continues around the Congress Palace.

Finish the walk around San Francisco church to try some “churros” and our traditional Pisco Sour at the Cordano Tavern, one of the most traditional places around Government Palace with more than a 100 years old.

Before going back to Miraflores there is going to be time to take pictures at the “Plaza Mayor” of Lima and enjoy the architecture of the Cathedral and Government Palace

Excellent response time from the company and Ceasar the owner arrived at the first stop of the tour to introduce himself and thank me for my business. I was the only one on the tour and Ceasar informed me that they never cancel even if there is only one person which I was very impressed with. Miguel was the tour guide. His English is excellent and he is very passionate about his city and his job. We rode the bus from Mireflores into the center of Lima and it was very fun. The stops on the tour included the local market and china town and the food was very diverse and all delicious! Miguel was such a gentleman and insisted on carrying a 40 pound box of school supplies he helped me purchase for a local community. I would highly recommend Miguel as a guide and the Travel Buddies Flavors & Tradition walking tour with Food tasting.

A fun way to enjoy some local food, drink, culture, and just get out to see Miraflores. We really enjoyed all the tastings and our time with Miguel. He was very friendly, well organized, and thoughtful. We appreciated having such a nice guide.
Wonderful time trying delicious food unique to Peru.

We had an amazing time learning about and tasting so many foods and drinks that are unique to Peru with our wonderful guide Miguel. The tour was in the centre of Lima, the old town, which is architecturally stunning. Miguel was very knowledgable about not only gastronomy but also the history of Lima; we learned so much from him and he was truly a delight. I highly recommend this tour for all the reasons noted above but also because we likely would not have eaten some of the unique and delicious food otherwise. Final comment - come hungry as you will be absolutely stuffed by the end of the tour.

I was very fortunate to be Jonathan’s guest for this four hour cultural and food sampling tour to downtown Lima. It was a fantastic experience using the Metopolitana bus system from Miraflores to downtown Lima and back. Jonathan pointed out places of interest and we journeyed to different local food eateries. It was an excellent way of trying Peruvian snacks, fruits and drink. Excellent demonstration and sampling of different Pisco drinks. Jonathan even followed up after the tour with links and pictures of things that we talked about on the tour. He molded my positive impression of Lima wishing I had more days to explore this wonderful city. Thanks for this experience!

We had a fantastic walking and tasting tour with Jonathan from Travel Buddies in Lima. Jonathan is very knowledgable about the history of Peru and took us on a great walk of Lima talking about the culture, history and stopping at various places to taste the local food. We would highly recomend this tour with Jonathan.

My husband and I did this tour and it was our favorite activity we did in Lima. Our guide Johnathon was personable and knowledgeable of both Lima and the foods we tried. And there was a lot of food! It was like having a friend show us around his city. After the tour he sent us information about all the food we tried since we couldn’t remember everything. I highly recommend this tour!

The walking tour was fantastic and had a great selection of different cuisines to try. Jonathan was an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Especially his historical insights about the city of Lima. He answered all of my questions and couldn't help me enough. He even gave me multiple recommendations for other things to do and places to see in the city. Highly recommend this tour to start off your time in Lima.

Our guide was Jonathan and he was so nice. We had a short time in Lima but he showed us all the top sites we would have missed. The city is big and harder to navigate than Cusco without a guide. We ate so much food along the way, come hungry. At the end he gave us recommendations for dinner in our area. Great tour, book it!

Fabulous street food, we were stuffed by the end! It was great to learn both more about Lima and the traditional food and drinks, which goes to make Peruvian food some of the best in the World!
