Bois Cheri Tea Factory and Tea Museum
Begin your 8 hours tour with a hotel pick-up at your accommodation anywhere in Mauritius. You will meet & be greeted by our guide and after boarding to your comfortable vehicle, then set off for your first stop. Firstly, you'll head to the Bois Chéri Tea factory. A guide will lead you through the factory & the tea plantation, offering you to discover the history, stories, and tales of the Bois Chéri and the importance of tea productions in Mauritius. After the guided tour of the tea factory, you will visit the tea production museum learning more about the history of tea in Mauritius. The Bois Chéri offers a great panoramic view of the south of the island. Nowadays Bois Chéri produces a new range of flavored teas, green teas & herbal teas. You may taste them during your visit.
Then heading to discovering the Rhumerie St Aubin. Set in a charming colonial house, exhibiting tropical and traditional vibes, The Rhumerie de St Aubin Distillery will have you learn all you need to know about Rum making on paradise island. You will get to enjoy a boozily delicious rum tasting session, discovering the different flavors of rum the distillery manufactures. 5.00We preferred the tea factory in Bois Chéri with the tasting but the rest was just as well. Many thanks to our driver/guide Mangesh who was perfect and he made us live our excursion with passion.

5.00Nice taxi tour, Sahil was a great driver and we had some pleasant chat along the way. The tea factory was very interesting to see and the tea tasting was fantastic and set in a pretty scenery.

5.00Our driver was a very polite and helpful local....he couldnt do enough for us on the day. We attended every attraction that was mentioned when booked and had a wonderful time. Each attraction met our expectations - we could have spent another 15/30 minutes at the museum as it was very informative but thats because we love museums. Lunch was a lovely meal at a local bar and we had a choice of anything off the menu. The market was quite small but well worth a look ....Would highly recommend

5.00It was a perfect day. We went to the Bois Cheri first, and we had a relaxing time tasting the tea on the beautiful mansion while looking over the tea plantation. The second stop was at the rum factory, where we had a wild time tasting the products. We were dancing and tasting, dancing and tasting, and more dancing and tasting. The rest of the day went very fast; we didn't feel the driving boring at all because our guide, Manu, was fun and social. He explained the landmarks, the local customs, and even taught us about Sega music at our request. In short, we had a great time!

5.00It was a perfect day! Our driver Manu was amazing! He picked us in time and took us to the tea factory, rum factory, lunch, museums and landmarks form the program. We had a great time (especially at the rum factory 😉). We recomand this trip! Is a must for a Mauritius holliday!

5.00A really enjoyable day. Tea factory well worth a visit with varied teas to taste. Rum distillery was very informative. Good tasting of tums and liquors. Vanilla farm was interesting. Really nice lunch. Our driver Vic, was very helpful . The day went really fast. Would recommend.
