Explore the timeless beauty of the Franschhoek Valley on a relaxed six-hour guided Winelands cycling tour which visits three of its most celebrated wine estates. Follow scenic vineyard trails beside the Franschhoek River, framed by towering mountains and tree-lined avenues. Enjoy tastings at each stop and a delicious à la carte lunch to round off the day (lunch for your own account). This leisurely cycle through the valley blends gentle adventure, world-class wine, and authentic local charm - the essence of Franschhoek in motion.

Rickety Bridge Wine Estate
Situated 3km from the renowned village of Franschhoek, the food and wine capital of South Africa, the Rickety Bridge Wine Estate nestles against the hillside overlooking vineyards and the majestic Wemmershoek Mountains.
La Bri Estate
One cannot mention La Bri without referring to the past, as the property forms an essential part of the South African wine history and culture. The original grant of La Bri is one of the oldest Huguenot-allocated farms in the Franschhoek Valley. The farm is situated in the valley previously known as Olifantshoek.

5.00We loved our day with Lee. He was knowledgeable about the area and shared about his culture. Seeing the valley from a bike was really special and well worth the effort. All three vineyards were excellent with the ambassadors carefully explaining how each wine was made and why they taste different.

5.00What a fabulous way to do a wine tour. We had a lovely bike ride between 3 vineyards. One tasting included either chocolate, billtong or Turkish delight. Was a leisurely ride and a great way to see Franschhoek too with stops along the way and information given by our guide. We had a total of 11 different wines to taste. Would definitely recommend.

4.00The starting point was easy to find. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary....Keenan our guide went to great lengths to offer us a great, special day! In 1. Wine Estate we were already surprised with champagne. All 3 wineries were different and the route varied. Unfortunately, the wheels were not quite as good in shape: no damping (hardtail) and the pedals cracked.

5.00Our family had a great day on the bike tour of Franschhoek. We enjoyed the scenery and short bike rides between wineries. Abi and his crew were very helpful and informative and even shared some South African history. The wine was delicious and we enjoyed a leisurely lunch at one vineyard. Great way to spend the day!

5.00We had a great day guided by Abi. He was excellent. The cycling was easy and very relaxing and the visits to the wineries were great. It’s a much much better way to experience Franschhoek than by vehicle in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this tour.

5.00Great way of exploring and getting a sense of the area. We had a really lovely day visiting a range of wineries and sampling wine whilst the children had juice tastings. Great variety of places on the itinerary and friendly and helpful guide - would definitely recommend

5.00We had a great day with Aby who was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and allowed us to go at a steady pace. The wine tasting was excellent at all three stops (Grand Provence, La Bri and Rickety Bridge) and even in heavy rain we had great fun and really enjoyed our time! Highly recommended for cyclists of any ability!
