There has never been a better way to experience the winelands than a bicycle and now electric bicycles make it even more enjoyable and accessible to the whole family.

You have the advantage of soaking up the scenery and surroundings at your own pace while not spending much energy as your e-bike assists you in pedaling. The bikes are fitted with leather seats and saddle bags for your wine shopping.

La Couronne

After meeting at the La Couronne Wines (Robertsvlei Rd) in the Franschhoek Village - your guide will assist you in understanding your e-bike as well as adjusting the seat post and handing out helmets, your E-bike tour will then start as we cycle through breath taking scenery, while avoiding the main roads. You will visit 2 - 3 wine farms. You will have time to take pictures as we admire the Franschhoek Village and surrounding mountain from different angles. You will also cycle through vineyards and working farms while your guide give you insight on the history of this cultural rich town. There will be plenty of time for pictures and shopping!

Ash our guide was fantastic. He tailored our afternoon around the windy weather and our abilities. We visited two estates, both very different but so good to see. Ash gave us so much inspire, and we loved getting a real insight into the area and just a locals perspective. Would recommend to anybody.

We had a lovely time with Prince and Angelo. The pace was perfect and we visited two wine estates. Both guides were very talkative and bubbly and they wanted to get to know us and what we liked doing. The tour lasted about 4 hours and would highly recommend for any cyclist of any ability.

What a great trip! Luvo and Angelo were wonderful hosts and great guys. Fabulous way to see parts you wouldn’t know of and greatly enhanced with Luvo’s knowledge of the area, its history and flora & fauna. Great fun from start to finish - thank you!

Loved a great afternoon of fun on the eBikes and wine tasting at two different vineyards. Our guide, Prince, added to the fun as he is a great character and always made sure that we were happy with the pace when riding. I haven't ridden a bike for several years, but I soon got used to using the power to help me keep up with others. Beautiful countryside to ride through and admire, especially as most was on quiet roads or tracks, so you had time to look around rather than worry about traffic. Thank you Prince, our fellow Peaky Blinders fan 😎

The star of the show is the Franschoek scenery - photogenic, lush and beautiful. This tour was a group tour and there were 9 of us, a mix of old and young, couples and families. The bikes were fat tyre mountain bikes but quite ropey and not that well maintained. They were adequate. The two guides were friendly and funny but not very knowledgeable about wine beyond the basics and the two wineries visited were very commercial, I had been expecting four wineries and at least one cellar tour but this was very basic stuff. The route was limited in scope - some gravel paths, roads and a pavement or two alongside a very busy main road. No problem but all very average.

We had a fantastic morning on this tour. Our guide, Prince, was waiting at the meeting point with good quality bikes and helmets, and made sure we were set up for a great morning's cycle. He checked what we were interested in, and led us through the countryside at a pace to suit us, visiting two vineyards, with different characteristics and entertaining us along the route. Prince was super knowledgeable and highly entertaining. He is smart, funny, conscientious and great company. This is a great tour for any age, and will be tailored to you.

Great guides and ensured we were all OK along the whole ride by following in a van. The ebikes were good fun and meant you could pedal as much or as little as you wanted. The wine tasting was excellent aswell which then made the ebike ride home better!
