We start picking up at 5:30 AM in the different hotels of Antigua Guatemala, then we will have a comfortable journey through mountainous landscapes, we arrive at the heart of the Guatemalan highlands, where the majestic Lake Atitlan will welcome you with its crystal clear waters, surrounded by imposing volcanoes and towns full of life and tradition.
Panajachel
a stop in the charming village of Panajachel, a gem located on the shores of the majestic Lake Atitlan. Here we will enjoy an hour to have a quiet breakfast in one of the local cafes, where you can taste a delicious meal while you gaze at one of the most impressive postcards in Guatemala. From the terrace, you will have a panoramic view of Lake Atitlan, considered by many as the most beautiful lake in the world, framed by the imposing volcanoes San Pedro, Atitlan and Tolimán. A perfect time to relax, take pictures and soak up the serenity of the surroundings before continuing our adventure.

5.00If you only have one day to travel to Atitlán lake, then this tour is worth it. Very well organized and guides were very helpful and responsible. Friendly to solo travelers too.

5.00It’s a long ride from Antigua, be ready! Streets are steep, wear comfortable shoes and be ready to walk some. Guides were great, offered Spanish and English. If you only have one day to visit this is a good way to pack a lot into it. Very touristy, not much nature, plenty of shopping if you’re interested.

1.00Very disappointed with this tour company. They told us to be ready for pick up between 5:20-5:45am. We were waiting outside at 5:20am. I called the company several times and a driver (not tour van) picked us up from our accommodation at 6:25am. The driver took us to the tourist van. When we arrived to the tourist van, there were no seats left. The tour van had left without us and it seemed like they were overbooked. Poor organization and a frustrating experience. We had to uber back from the gas station to our hotel. Would not recommend this company. We are still waiting for the refund they said they would give.

3.00Pick-up was 30 minutes late. The company did not call to say so. They don't even have someone in the office to answer calls Guide is at the lake so the pick-up and drive is without communication. The guide was pleasant, but the tour design was poor. It's a bunch of shops with demonstrations. So much wasted time and missed opportunities.

5.00Highly recommend this tour. From start to finish, the company communicated with us about logistics, picked us up promptly at the arranged time, drove us to Lake Atitlan and took us to multiple towns by boat. Both breakfast and lunch were absolutely delicious, local cuisine was served. We visited so many places and Alvaro, our guide and the head of the company, was so professional and friendly, explaining the history of each place we visited. The tour was very well organized and comprehensive. Connections Guatemala Travel is a great company. This is a MUST do tour when visiting Guatemala because you get the full Lake Atitlan experience in one day.
