  Can't rate this tour as sadly haven't been able to do it. Twice in two years we have booked flights and accommodation to do this specific Game of Thrones walking tour, and on both occasions it has sadly been cancelled. I appreciate that both times have been due to unforeseen circumstances, with the first being weather issues which is absolutely no fault of the tour company. However, second time, the cancellation was so last minute it was very disappointing that there was no backup driver for that date. I think it is just really bad luck that we've had, but it's so disappointing to have waited for the nice weather season, paid for accommodation, flights, extra luggage to accommodate walking gear, etc., and then have this cancelled. We were offered a refund or an alternative date, but sadly were flying back on the next date offered. Perhaps it will be a third time lucky, but next time we will definitely plan our own route to these locations as a backup. I appreciate things happen, but as this is a tour and I assume many people will travel to do it, I think having a backup driver is a must so the tours can still go ahead!

  I was in Ireland for study abroad and wanted to do this tour with my friend. We booked the tickets and 10 minutes before the tour was supposed to start, we received an email saying it had been cancelled. Fine, whatever. We emailed back saying we would reschedule for a different day. It took them weeks to get back to us and by then they said they would just refund us. My friend’s program ended before mine and she went home, so I asked two other friends if they wanted to go with me. They did! So we booked the tickets. We were super excited, but then I got another email. It had been cancelled AGAIN! At least this time we were told two days in advance rather than 10 minutes. There was no other day that all three of us could go, so I told my two friends to go by themselves. We emailed the company back and asked to refund one ticket and move the other 2 to another day. They replied saying that they would receive free tickets if they could make it to Belfast for the tour (rather than Dublin, where we were going to leave from), but they ended up cancelling that as well! This whole experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, as we are all huge GOT fans. To top it all off, I have yet to receive any refunds. I don’t know if this company is scamming people, but something feels very off. I understand things happen and tours have to be cancelled, but this is a bit ridiculous.

  Robbie was the best tour guide and extremely knowledgeable on the topic of Game of Thrones. It was truly a magical experience one that I highly recommend. There is a lot of walking so if your not physically fit maybe reconsider this particular tour.

  I was so excited to book this tour and it did not disappoint! The pick up location was very clear. I joined Lars and our King of the Bus driver Denis on our adventure. We got great weather, albeit windy and cool. Most importantly no rain so we were able to Take the Black early and don our cloaks for the entire journey! I'm usually cold but I wore a light sweater and with the cloak it was perfect, even toasty at some points. Lars was fantastic and fun! He let us know what to expect and the music and behind the scene videos playing on the bus to and from locations was great. The locations are gorgeous. Lars did let us know it is a brisk walk, and while I did read that on other reviews I didn't let that deter me from walking at my own pace. I'm 5'2" and my little legs only go a certain pace. Don't feel the need to keep up, honestly go at your own pace take pictures and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Trust me I was always the last one and by the time you are with the group Lars will still be talking about the location, showing photos and talking about the show. So get your pictures!! Tollymore Forest Park is breathtaking so drink it in while you're there. He also takes group shots at the end at each location after he's done speaking. There is a stop for lunch and everything was yummy. Everyone was happy with the food and drinks! If you tend to get a little car sick I would sit in the back so you can see everything. Lars checked in on a woman at all points of our journey because she wasn't feeling well it was very sweet and you can tell he wanted to make sure she enjoyed herself. Visit the glass and pottery studio at "Winterfell" they have some beautiful pieces to take home, and the owner is very sweet. Tip*when you ARRIVE at "Winterfell" use the restroom first you'll be walking a lot. There was portapotty at The Twins ;) but it was locked. There are also restrooms at Tollymore Park. • Cancelled my tour and never refunded me!!!

  One day before my booked tour I received a message stating that my tour was unfortunately cancelled. I was offered a refund or to book the tour on a different day. I unfortunately could not rebook and requested a refund. That was on August 22. I messaged Robert 3 more times and have yet to receive a refund or received a email confirming my request. Very disappointing. I need a refund ASAP!!

• It’s a trek full of information

  Lars was our guide for a 11-hour day excursion. He had a lot to share about George R.R. Martin and the show. He was an extra in several episodes of GOT and other movies and shows. He has a lot of enthusiasm for history. It was excellent to have the group photos that he staged,captured and shared. The send off was a little stressful because we arrived 15 minutes early as recommend and the bus arrived 15 minutes after we were scheduled to leave. You must be in healthy condition because it is a trek and is quite steep in places. I can’t wait to rewatch season 1 after seeing locations of Winterfell.

  This tour was so well done. Very entertaining and informative. My husband and I didn't want to do the dress up portion and Lars was fine with it, but wanted to make sure we still felt included by checking in with us frequently. He is an extra from the show which really made the experience even more fun. Thank you! I highly recommend this tour for any GOT fans.

• Lar a better actor than Peter Dinklage?

  Lar is one of the best actors in Game of Thrones. Dennis the bus driver was very skilled at navigating the narrow gates of Winterfell. We had a great time in this tour! Special shout out to the Lobster Pot!

  Wonderful to see the locations. Lar and Denis were a great team. I didn't find the walking bad at all.
