FES ⇢ IFRANE ⇢ ZIZ VALLEY ⇢ MERZOUGA DESERT (Night in Desert Camp) (467 Km/7 hr 30 min)

You will spend the night in a nomad tent at Merzouga desert camp.
Fez
After an early breakfast at your hotel or riad id Fez, your English speaking driver / guide will pick you up as early as possible, 07h00 AM in winter time and 08h00 AM in summer ( that will allow you enough driving time to catch the sunset in Erg Chebbi ).
Ifrane
Our journey will commence in Fes and take us through Ifrane, a French-built winter ski resort from the 1930s modeled after a Swiss village.
Azrou Cedar Forest
As you continue your journey, you will traverse the cedar forest in Azrou and have an opportunity to spot monkeys. Your drive will take you through the Middle Atlas Mountains, characterized by scenic winding roads through forests, springs, rocky terrain, and Berber villages. You will then descend towards the Sahara Desert after a full day of navigating the breathtaking Atlas Mountains.
Midelt
During your trip, you will make a stop for lunch in Midelt, a town renowned for its fossils and rocks. Midelt is located halfway to your destination. After lunch, you will continue your journey towards Merzouga along the road.
After lunch, you will continue your journey, crossing the Ziz River and passing by towering palm trees and fortified Kasbahs on your way to Erfoud.
Merzouga
Take a break to admire the breathtaking view of a massive palm tree oasis, then proceed to reach Merzouga in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with mint tea and your guide, who will introduce you to your camels. They will then lead you on a 1-hour camel ride across the picturesque sandy dunes of erg-Chebbi, where you will experience the breathtaking sunset. Upon reaching the desert camp, you will spend the night in a traditional Berber tent. Here, your camels will be secured and you will be served with mint tea. After a delicious dinner, spend the night stargazing before retiring to bed.
MERZOUGA ⇢ TODRA CANYON ⇢ DADES GORGES (255 km/Around 4 hr)

Following breakfast, you will embark on a drive through the Valley of the Roses, en route to Kalaa Mgouna.
As part of this experience, we'll make a special stop at the Atlas Studios. Located on the outskirts of the city, this renowned film studio has been the backdrop for many famous movies and television series. During this brief stop, you'll have the opportunity to capture some stunning photos of the Atlas Studios' exterior. The studio's unique architecture and surroundings offer excellent photographic opportunities. Keep in mind that entrance fees to explore the inside of Atlas Studios are not included in this package, but you can purchase your ticket there if you wish to delve deeper into the magic of the movies.
Ait Ben Haddou
Take the opportunity to visit the renowned Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Tizi n Tichka
Journey across the massive Atlas Mountains and admire the stunning landscape from the top of Tizi N'Tichka pass, the highest pass in North Africa.
Marrakech
Arrive in Marrakech, the Red City and Morocco's second largest city, in the early evening. Your drop-off will be at your accommodations or the nearest accessible location.

5.00Our experience was amazing! Our tour guides were so friendly everywhere we went. Our driver Agouim Houssein was so fun! He played great music in the car with a range of Moroccan classics to American classics. He gave interesting facts as we drove through towns and landscapes.

4.00An experience that I will definitely carry in my heart, trip to the desert on horseback of dromedaries and night in camp well beyond expectations. The other stops were interesting, but I would have spent more time to visit also some areas for which we just passed without stopping.The guides to Abdul very welcoming and nice. However, the tour itself was not exactly akin to the description offered, the distances between one place and another are really considerable and for this reason you spend a lot of time in vans and many places are seen "in a hurry". All in all for the price and things included in my opinion it is worth it and I would recommend it, with these awareness

5.00I picked it up in Fez and used it for a drop-off itinerary in Marrakech. A campfire & tent stay in the desert, a starry sky became a memory I will never forget. It was also a great experience to see the Todola Valley and Aitbenhadu, and to travel with magnificent views from the passenger seat, with guide Youssef teaching us a lot along the way. If you are coming to Morocco, I think you should definitely participate! On top of this satisfaction, I thought it was a pretty good price to pay because I could travel from Fez to Marrakech. I also thought it would be more recommended than a private tour in that respect because I could enjoy the tour while interacting with other travelers.

5.00Our trip from Fes to the Sahara Desert (Merzouga) was absolutely incredible! Simo Sabri was an amazing guide — so professional, kind, and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and having a great time, even helping carry our suitcases and taking care of all the details along the way. The desert experience itself was unforgettable — the camel ride, ATV adventure, and all the beautiful sights we saw along the route made it one of the best parts of our Morocco trip. Simo was also a great driver and made the long journey really enjoyable. We can’t recommend Simo Sabri enough — he truly made the experience special!
