The trip to Ban Gioc Waterfall with guides Viet was wonderful. We visited a local village, tried cutting rice, explored the Nguom Ngao Cave, and viewed the waterfall both from a distance and up close by raft. Traveling by motorbike with the guides made it easier to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery compared to going by car. The guides were friendly, helpful, and spoke good English. This tour is highly recommended during a trip to Vietnam. The food was also delicious.

The whole trip was very interesting, we found bad weather for a couple of days but our guides were very well organized. Meals and places to sleep were all booked in rustic but still quaint places, where you can appreciate the best of the local culture, suitable for spending the night and the food was always very good! They always asked us what we preferred to do and if we had any problems with the religious places we should visit, the kitchen or where we would sleep. I highly recommend Haim is a very nice guy and very prepared. He's been trying all the way to make us comfortable.

Very nice trip in the heart of northern Vietnam with breathtaking landscapes seen through motorbike tours, with which you appreciate them best. Very characteristic homestays where we slept and good places where we ate. Guides equipped for every eventuality such as rain and attentive to meet the various needs had on the road. Many places visited in 4 days!!! What about, highly recommended!!!!!

4 DAYS HA GIANG LOOP - CAO BANG BAN GIOC WATERFALL in old Army Jeep operated by Authentic Ha Giang tour operators. You will read many reviews of this being a truly memorable, once-in-lifetime experience AND we couldn't agree more! Thank you Authentic Ha Giang for providing the HIGHLIGHT of our 5-week trip to Vietnam. Windy (our tour guide ) was an excellent photographer with a particular talent for capturing the perfect shot of the scenery. Windy adapted the tour to our preferences - you just have to ask and he made it happen. We always felt well looked after and fed. We felt safe with our driver as we navigated some seriously treacherous roads. The open air jeep is comfortable whilst sufficiently thrilling and perfect for taking photos whilst driving. It was cold due wind chill factor. Tip: pack warms clothes for December!! The food wasn’t a highlight for us but ‘happy water’ is a must try. A summary of our experience which was adapted to the weather and road closures. Day 0 - limousine bus to ha Giang. The free homestay was memorable but too rustic and cold for us, (mattress on the floor) Day 1 - was the best day for truly spectacular scenery, stopping at all the viewpoints of the mountain passes. Dong VAn homestay and town was quaint and nice. hot pot and happy water. Day 2 - sky path walk and nhe quon river. We walked the sky path, amazing scenery despite it being misty. That afternoon we took scooters to the ME PJA PASS. We didn’t like the Bao Vac homestay as it wasn’t scenic but it was comfortable: large room. Day 3 - we spent mostly driving through back roads and the more remote towns to get get to BAN GIOC waterfall. This was in the afternoon when the dam opens. As it’s the dry season the falls were a little disappointing as there was little water. Fairytale homestay with dinner in a cave next to stone village. Day 4 - We visited GOD'S EYE / ANGEL EYE MOUNTAIN, in lieu of the visiting the cave near ban gioc falls. Limo bus back to Hanoi. Ha Giang is so intense with truly breathtaking scenery, better than cao bang district. the waterfall was disappointing as it’s the dry season. If we had known it was dry we would have just done the ha Giang loop as it required lots of driving to get to cao bang. Overall this is an intense tour of the north that covers so much. It didn’t feel rushed and felt satisfied with how much we saw within the 3 nights. This is a 10/10 recommendation and the highlight of our 4 week trip to Vietnam. We booked directly with Authentic Ha Giang who is a large and established operator and who we happily recommend to others.

Did the 1 day trip from Cao Bang to Ban Gioc together with tour guide Viet. I have been in Vietnam for over five weeks and can wholeheartedly say that Viet is the nicest, nicest and funniest tour guide I have had. Other than that the tour was great, the places he showed me were beautiful and authentic. We visited locals to see how they live, drank tea and haply water at half past eight in the morning😅 and were given sweet potatoes to eat. If you're looking for a local experience that not many other travelers will have, look no further! Viet, Tôi nhớ bạn.❤️
