Founded in the beginning of 17th century on seasonal shepherd settlements it has evolved into an impressive city through the years. Your tour will begin with transport from Krakow to Zakopane Town. Pickup by car or minivan from a pre-determined place (hotel or other place that you choose) at a specified date and time. Transport takes about 2 hours.
Zywy skansen - Historyczna zabudowa Chocholowa
On the route to Zakopane we’ll stop in Chochołów – the wooden village. People still live there in the original wooden houses built by the Polish highlanders, which are under the patronage of UNESCO. You will get a chance to go inside one of them to experience how people used to live. After that we will visit a Bacowka (traditional shepherd’s hut) where you will have a chance to try famous regional cheese – Oscypek and see how it is prepared.

5.00Did the Zakopane day trip with Your Krakow Travel and it was a great day. We went up Gubałówka which has incredible views over the Tatra mountains, visited a traditional wooden village, and did a cheese tasting — the local oscypek is worth trying if you haven't had it before. Our guide knew the area really well and gave you the context to actually appreciate what you were looking at, not just the surface level stuff. Small group, comfortable transport, no faff. Solid all round.
