Our full day trip from Vienna shows you the must-see places in Austria in a comfortable and flexible manner.
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive to Austrian Alps, where you will find out the facts of the highlight of the Wachau Valley, the magnificent Benedictine Abbey of Melk.
As you continue your journey, you will experience the natural splendour of the Salzkammergut Lake District, a paradise of serene waters and stunning alpine scenery.
The next highlight of the trip is the unique village of Hallstatt, located right on the shores of an Alpine lake with an amazing view of the huge mountains rising steeply from a narrow valley.
The next highlight is the City of the Sound of Music - Salzburg, where you will have free time to stroll through the Old Town, Mirabel garden, Mozart's Birthplace and enjoy the world capital of classical music.
If you find yourself enchanted by this magnificent city, you can stay there longer and return to Vienna at your own expenses by train.

Please note that you will cover approx. 660 km. by motorway on this day. It is approx. 8,5 hours drive with multiple stops. You will spend minimum 1 hour in Hallstatt and max. 2 hours in Salzburg. In case of traffic jams, the time can be shortened.
This tour is created for inquisitive travellers who want to visit the most important cities in a short time. If you want to get to know these cities in more details, we strongly advise you to go to each of these cities separately.
To save your free time in the cities, we also recommend you to bring light snacks and water. You can eat on the bus as long as you don't disturb other tourists.
Tour is not recommended for infants and very slow-moving disabled persons.

4.00We had a good driver and Alexander, our guide had given us plenty of information along the way. The bus itself is comfortable. Is it worth taking this trip? I really think it is, especially for those who want to cover more places on a tight vacation. Also, if you were picked up from your hotel in the morning, expect not to be picked up when the trip is over. Me and another couple thought there is someone waiting for us, but NO. So be prepared to take a taxi or transit. Don't forget to tip!

1.00If sitting in the double decker bus do not choose the front seat. Cold air is blasted the whole time and you can’t hear anything the tour guide is saying on the speakers

4.00Enjoyed Halstatt. Was everything that was advertised. Monastery was beautiful at Merk. Would have liked more time there. Salzburg was just another city. Not favorite part of trip. Very long day but seeing Halstatt was well worth it.

4.00Great itinerary with visit to Melk Abbey, Hallstatt and Salzburg. English guide spoke with a heavy accent so it was difficult at times to understand what she was saying which also sometimes sounded like rumbling. Appreciate the classical music though.

4.00For groups travelling in odd numbers, if you need to be right next to each other inside the bus, ask the guides beforehand if they can arrange for the seating for you. Bus seating is in pairs.

1.00It was too fast, with no time to really enjoy the experience just walking in and out. Besides that, tour guy speaking with a heavy accent, which made difficult to understand. Then, at the end, one of them came around to each of us asking for tips, which made people uncomfortable.

5.00This coach trip is a great way to see a lot of Austria in just 1 day. Lily was a great, very informative tour guide. Each stop was fairly short (around 30 minutes in Melk, 1.5 hours in Hallstatt and 2 hours in Salzburg) but it felt like enough time to see the key sites. The guided tour of Salzburg was brilliant too. There is a lot of time spent on the coach during the day but this gives you a chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

5.00We had an amazing time on our day trip!! Our tour guide was wonderful on the bus ride …she was very interactive, informative and pleasant! It rained for a majority of the drive and our driver was wonderful and got us there safely! The tour itself was just beautiful!
