Our full day trip from Vienna shows you the must-see places in Austria in a comfortable and flexible manner.
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive to Austrian Alps, where you will find out the facts of the highlight of the Wachau Valley, the magnificent Benedictine Abbey of Melk.
As you continue your journey, you will experience the natural splendour of the Salzkammergut Lake District, a paradise of serene waters and stunning alpine scenery.
The next highlight of the trip is the unique village of Hallstatt, located right on the shores of an Alpine lake with an amazing view of the huge mountains rising steeply from a narrow valley.
The next highlight is the City of the Sound of Music - Salzburg, where you will have free time to stroll through the Old Town, Mirabel garden, Mozart's Birthplace and enjoy the world capital of classical music.
If you find yourself enchanted by this magnificent city, you can stay there longer and return to Vienna at your own expenses by train.

Please note that you will cover approx. 660 km. by motorway on this day. It is approx. 8,5 hours drive with multiple stops. You will spend minimum 1 hour in Hallstatt and max. 2 hours in Salzburg. In case of traffic jams, the time can be shortened.
This tour is created for inquisitive travellers who want to visit the most important cities in a short time. If you want to get to know these cities in more details, we strongly advise you to go to each of these cities separately.
To save your free time in the cities, we also recommend you to bring light snacks and water. You can eat on the bus as long as you don't disturb other tourists.
Tour is not recommended for infants and very slow-moving disabled persons.

5.00Was an amazing experience with a lot packed in for 13 hours. I can see how people would’ve liked to spend a little more time in Salzburg but hey, that would’ve made it a 15-16 hour day. There’s lots of walking, so be prepared. But the tour guides and bus driver were all very nice.

4.00A tad pricey for what is offered. The guide speaks to the customers like they are children. Tells you to go to the toilet and repeats the come back time 30 mins location, adequate but not enjoyable 1 hour 30 at stop too, a shame because you dont get enough time for lunch and to see whole area Stop 3 . The tour guide was excellent but again you get 50 mins in Slazburg after tour ends Great views but just very expensive

5.00The tour was able to fit a lot in for just a day. Given the constraints, the time spent in each place was good. All the stops were beautiful and helped show more of Austria than just Vienna.

5.00This was a long but very action packed trip! I enjoyed each location and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to maximize their time. Olga was a very informative and interactive guide. She mixed history with music which was quite refreshing and a new format I have never experienced during a guided tour. She was detailed, kind and provided suggestions along the way. We were lucky that we enjoyed such a beautiful day with excellent weather. What a great tour providing a mix of history, nature and city feels!

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful trip to Hallstatt! From start to finish, everything was beautifully organized and truly memorable. Olga made the experience especially pleasant. I was genuinely impressed by her ability to switch effortlessly between multiple languages and by her deep knowledge of Austrian history, art, and music. And speaking of music… her narrations were accompanied by Austrian classical pieces, which added such an elegant and immersive touch to the entire journey. It felt thoughtful and unique — not just a tour, but an experience. On our way back to Vienna, the weather suddenly changed and heavy snow began falling. Despite the intense snowfall and challenging highway traffic, our driver handled the situation with great professionalism and care, bringing us back safely and calmly. Overall, it was a fantastic day — informative, atmospheric, and very well managed. Highly recommended!
