Cameron Valley Tea
Cameron tea Plantations, producer of Cameron Valley tea synonymous with fine highland tea of Malaysia, owns a total of four tea gardens totalling 1,600 acres of lush hilly terrain in Cameron Highlands acquired progressively over the decades in this chronological account. With the inception of the Bharat Company in 1933, unprocessed tea leaves were sold to a tea factory near the estate. In 1952, with Dato Brijkishore Agarwal at the helm, Bharat took over the factory at the Agricultural Research Centre in Cameron Highlands on a contract basis. There they started their very first processed and packaged tea sold under the brand name "Chop Rusa". In 1963, the company acquired the Shalimar Estate with its onsite tea-processing factory. By then, the company and the products were already firmly established, enjoying a flourishing sales network with major tea wholesalers. With the assurance of constant quality control of the products, the Cameron Bharat Platations became a favored and important supplier of bulk tea to major tea blenders including famous well-established tea brand names in Malaysia.

5.00We had a great trip with Joe. He took us to the Lata Iskandal waterfall, Cameron Valley plantation, strawberry farm and a bee farm. We had a tasty lunch at a restaurant next to the bee farm. The tour operator was very flexible and dropped us off at the hotel in Cameron Highlands instead of returning to KL (per our request). Overall Joe was a very safe driver, good conversationalist and joy to spend the day with.
Fantastic experience - totally recommended.

5.00Fantastic Experience! Saw a lot of interesting ways of farming, changed our large land and a lot of agricultural machinery thinking! Kapitan Shah was right on time and gave us great info about each objective. He was flexible with our time and a fantastic driver on the Malaysian mountains. Totally recommending the trip, the travel company and our guide Shah!

5.00I joined Cameron Highlands because I wanted to go there. The whole tea plantation had a very nice view. At the tea house, we had a mysterious chicken curry rice (you can choose other dishes). It was delicious. We also had masala tea (chai), which was very tasty and aromatic. I also wanted to drink regular milk tea. The waterfall is accessible near the basin. It was so wonderful. Strawberry farms and honey farms are conscientious and I wouldn't force people to buy them. Unfortunately October was the off-season strawberry season, but I bought some delicious strawberry ice cream. The order of stops seems to change with time. *I feel like I didn't go to ⑤〜⑧, but I wasn't really interested, so I'm happy. It's a hard place to get to, so I'm glad we decided to go on a road trip.

2.00The bees, butterfly and rose farms are not worth your time. Perhaps our guide was a dud. The tea farm though was very nice. The ride was long and our driver was not engaging, nor knowledgeable. Choose another tour, as we did not get our money's worth, and the tea farm couldn't save the tour.

4.00Our driver Mr Shah was very friendly, informative and professional. Communication before pickup was good and he arrived on time. A 7am start was worth it to avoid traffic heading out and to ensure return by 6pm. A lot of driving - 3 hours to get to destination but comfortable car and good to see the changing scenery. Flexible itinerary if you change your mind about what to visit. Highlight was tea plantation.

5.00We had a wonderful day! Our driver (Mr. Shah) was excellent – he really listened to our wishes and adjusted the tour so that it suited us perfectly. Mr. Shah was also a fantastic guide: very friendly, approachable, and pleasant to be around. He even took us to a lovely spot for lunch. The highlight of the day was definitely visiting the tea plantations – they were absolutely beautiful!
