Starting from the port of Sorrento, with your local guide and fellow travelers, our small group will embark on an exciting journey aboard a fast ferry to the breathtaking island of Capri.
Upon arrival, we will hop on a shuttle bus and travel along the famous MAMMA MIA ROAD, heading towards the legendary Blue Grotto. If open, we will explore the blue cave. Otherwise, we will enjoy a delightful shared boat ride around the island.
Next, we will head to the charming town of Anacapri. A chairlift will take us to the highest point of Capri, offering spectacular views. After the ride, you will have some free time for a typical lunch and then take a shuttle bus to “La Piazzetta”, Capri main square. Savor an espresso while watching the world go by in this vibrant hub.
We will then take a leisurely stroll through the elegant shopping streets and discover the beautiful Augustus Gardens. Once ready, we will return to Capri's main pier and return to Sorrento.

The Island of Capri is very nice. Visiting the Blue Grotto is not guaranteed. The tour guide was awesome!

Wow a fun and jam packed day. We were lucky enough to get to see the Blue Grotto, and our guide Paola was so organized and efficient in getting us near front of line. Included an extra boat ride to circle the island and caves/monuments at end of day that was great.

The day was full with multiple stops for site seeing and shopping. Ample time provided for wandering and exploration at each stop. Knowledgeable and engaging tour guide.

First, we were told to give €15 per person as a “gratuity” to the boat operator. This isn’t presented as optional – it’s essentially mandatory. For anyone travelling with a partner or group, this quickly adds up. Second, on the day of our visit the chair lift wasn’t working. Fair enough, but instead of adjusting the schedule we were dumped in Anacapri for an hour with nothing meaningful to do except wander around the same touristy markets and buy overpriced drinks. Then, we were given even more “free time” in Capri to eat again and see more of the same. The scenery is lovely, but it does not take two hours to walk through. At the end of the trip we were taken to the pier and asked to join an “optional” boat ride at €25 per person that was never mentioned in the itinerary. We declined but were then forced to wait 1.5 hours for a couple in our group who went on it. The pier itself had nothing but a few bars and restaurants — no shade, no attractions — so we ended up spending on food and drinks for the third time just to sit somewhere. It was hot, sunny, and a complete waste of time. In reality, you’re looking at spending an extra €200 on top of what you’ve already paid, and losing hours of your day stuck in tourist traps. If you’re travelling with a group, I’d strongly recommend arranging a private Blue Grotto tour or making sure your provider sticks strictly to what’s advertised. This tour not only piles on hidden charges but also squanders valuable time you could be using to actually enjoy Sorrento or elsewhere instead of waiting around. We were also not taken to Giardini Di Augusto.
