5.00Had a full day float trip on the Kenai River with Matt. He picked us up at the Princess Lodge on time as scheduled. He was very professional, patient and informative. We both caught a lot of amazing Dolly Varden and rainbows! Great experience! Highly recommend and will book again if we are back in the area.
Jj & Brandon are the BIG dogs!

5.002025 the Sockeye run was Insanity so they booked us with Brandon and guess what... out of all the boats we hooked and lost anywhere from 45 to 60 fish all the other boats getting 15 in the lake area. JJ was so cool to call us in advance and reschedule where we were going to go (we originally booked the river) but he suggested the lake because of the insane Sockeye run (in excess of 2 million) had a blast, hooked up constantly, and look forward to hitting it again with them in 2026!

5.00Great way to spend a day fishing. Thanks to JJ for booking me on short notice and to Brandon for taking the trip and spending a few minutes reviewing casting with my son. Brandon is a great guide and works hard to put you in the spots to catch fish. He had plenty of fish on the hook and just enough in the net to make this a worth while trip for me. Even saw a nice brown bear at the take out. If you’re looking for a guided trip give these guys a call first. They have all the gear, just bring a lunch and a license and dress for the weather. We’ll be back next year.

5.00As and avid fisherman and 46 year resident of Alaska's Kenai Peninsula, I've spent thousands of hours chasing salmon and trophy rainbows on the Kenai River. I highly recommend Kenai River Trout Anglers guide service and in particular, Owen Austin, one of their excellent guides. I had the privilege of fishing a full day with Owen recently and what a day it was! It's fair to say is was the best day of trout fishing I've experience on the Kenai River in many years. Owen knows the river and worked hard to make my day a great success. John A.

5.00You have a lot of options when it comes to picking a guide service for the Kenai. We did a ton of research and you can't beat the price or the guide quality at Kenai River Trout Anglers. Communication from start to finish was excellent and we couldn't have been happier with our guide Owen. He put us on the fish all day and he was just as excited as we were every time we got a fish on the hook. These guys are passionate about what they do and it shows. Highly recommended!

5.00AMAZING! Captain JJ answered all my questions before we arrived very promptly. Brandon was an amazing guide and very patient with me! We caught so many fish. Four rainbow trout over 20 inches. We will be back!

5.00Most fish I ever caught in a day! Our guide Brandon was amazing — knowledgeable, experienced and super pleasant. We had a beautiful day to float down the kenai river from sportsman landing to Jim’s landing .. not a long distance but chock full of fish. Leopard redband rainbows, golden rainbows, Dolly Varden — all of them were huge and hungry. Brandon, knew the sweet spots and the exact type of lure to use. We had four people in our boat and had three fish on at once several times. We stopped counting how many we were bringing in after a while it was so many. We all highly recommend this outfitter!

5.00Had a great full day trip with Owen and his boat dog Buck. Owen is a great guide, and his care for the fish, the river ecosystem, and his clients' enjoyment was clear. We were busy catching fish all day and in between fishing, Owen kept us busy with good conversation. This was a great trip, and as an experienced fly fisherman, I would highly recommend this trip with Owen.

5.00JJ is an amazing guide! He is very knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating. We caught a crazy amount of salmon. He did a great job teaching us how to catch the fish. He was very patient and attentive. I would highly recommend his company and any of the guides that work with him. We felt like we started as clients and quickly became friends.
