Often the guests say that a day fly fishing with us was the best day of their vacation! Your expert guides aim to achieve this by having a great attitude. They are willing to share their knowledge with anglers of all abilities, beginner to expert.
A private drift boat ride on the river offers a chance to connect with nature through fishing, but also from seeing the incredible scenery and spotting wildlife along the banks.
1 to 2 people per boat (3rd person in one boat with prior approval and increased fee based on availability and total weight)

Our patient fly fishing guides will customize your fishing trip to your abilities, fishing conditions, and weather. Your guide will meet you with boat, all fishing gear, and deli lunches and then you will head to the river. You'll to learn to cast and any fishing techniques needed for the river you are fishing. Enjoy a stop for lunch, a few laughs, and your time on the river! (Starting and ending times are estimated based on time of year and weather, your guide will discuss all options with you)

5.00Set out down the Snake River with our guide, Henry. He was awesome and walked us through Fly Fishing lessons and techniques. Our trip lasted 10 miles over approx 6 hours. Caught whitefish and cutthroat trout. Saw bald eagles along the river banks. My wife and I had a wonderful time !!!

5.00We took some clients fishing two days on our three night trip and had a blast. All of the guides are fantastic, not only fishing wise but also great conversations and fun. We had four boats go out each day and all boats caught fish! Scheduling and making plans with the group is easy and stress free. I would highly recommend Fish the Fly! We are repeat guests and would not book anywhere else. Both times, 2022 and 2025, I have fished with Bruce and have had the best conversations and learning experiences. This year I got the opportunity to get to know Logan and he was great...worked hard and also was the most friendly. You can't go wrong with this group!!

5.00Great outing with customers. Cooper, Henry and Austin were all great guides and patient as some of the guys had never fly fished before. Cooper put us on the biggest fish of the trip each day.

5.00Trip was fantastic! Michael was friendly knowledgeable and great company on the river! We saw bald eagles and caught trout! What more could we ask for!

5.00Our guide Michael was very personable, knowledgeable, and very patient. He knew exactly where to go and cast our lines to catch cutthroat fish. I definitely want to go back with my family! My favorite part of our "Car Trip" from Baton Rouge, La.

5.00We had an amazing time with Tracy! She was an excellent quide and manged the trip beautifully...realizing the needs of both participants. She made it an unforgetable day of fun and adventure with hiking into an area to fish some smaller water. We had everything we needed and will definitely return to fish with her again. an incredible experience.

5.00My wife and I did a full day float and a full day back country trip with Alan. It was her first time to fly fish. He did an excellent job patiently teaching her and gave me some much needed coaching as well. We fished in the rain both days so the fishing was average (10-20 each day). They even tried to reschedule around the rain but we were already booked those days.
