This trip is considered a full-day tour (usually). It is a 6-8 hour guided hike to the 2nd largest but hottest boiling lake in the world. The hike consists of a variety of different landscapes, rivers, hot springs, and fumaroles. At the end, a swim through the titou gorge is optional. It is a 5 - 10 minute swim through a beautifully carved slot canyon with a powerful waterfall at the end!
The hike is considered relatively challenging.

Boiling Lake
This is a 6-8 hour guided hike through the Morne Trois Pitons National park which leads to the 2nd largest boiling lake in the world. The hike consists of various landscapes; rainforests, and elfin forests and many natural attractions (Sulphur springs, rivers, and small waterfalls). The hike is relatively challenging.
Titou Gorge
Nestled in the heart of an old French estate (Laudat) and renowned National Park (Morne Trois Pitons). Sits a Gorge that has been carved by water over millions of years. This activity Is a 5-minute swim in pristine clear water through an impeccably carved slot canyon with a waterfall at the end.

5.00Junior was an amazing guide on the Boiling Lake trail. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area, including the wildlife and plant life. The lake itself was absolutely stunning and 100% worth the hike, truly a must-do if you’re in Dominica. Junior did a great job explaining how the trail was divided into three sections, which helped us know what to expect along the way. The hike took us approximately 5–6 hours in total.

5.00We had an incredible day with Junior! 🤩 He guided our family safely along the breathtakingly beautiful trail to Boiling Lake, including our two children aged 8 and 10. Communication beforehand was excellent, which was especially important for us as we were visiting Dominica on a cruise ship.🛳️ After the hike, we were able to cool our tired legs in Titou Gorge. Overall, it was an experience that truly could not have been better.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

5.00This is an INCREDIBLE tour. Junior was an amazing guide. This was a very technical and long hike with amazing rewards. When the hike got challenging, Junior was there all the time to help make things easier, telling us where we needed to step and making sure that we were enjoying the experience. I would 10 out of 10 take this hike with Junior every time

5.00This hike with Junior exceeded our expectations. The hike itself is litterally incredible, through the rainforest, rivers, waterfalls and fumaroles, until you reach the boiling lake which is pretty unique also. It is hard but Junior made us feel safe all the time and gave us lots of information about our surroundings as well as his country. He is also very friendly, a great guy!

5.00The hardest hike of my life and my most favorite day of the cruise excursions. Learned a lot about the island and saw incredible views and experienced a little bit of the hot springs in addition to viewing the boiling lake. Then the swimming in the gorge at the end was the perfect way to finish the day. Definitely be aware that this hike does not allow for a lot of rest or break time!

5.00Amazing hike through incredible landscapes, first through jungle, then through Desolation Valley with beautiful rock formations, boiling hot pools, fumaroles and steaming sulphur and then up to the boiling lake. And Julian was the best guide, he looks after you and is so knowledgable, not only about the wildlife and flora and forna of Dominica but also the history and its people. Probably one of my favourite hikes I’ve done yet, literally feels like you’re on another planet for parts of it. Doing this tour with Julian is definitely a must when visiting Dominica!
