Itsukushima Shrine
Established in the 6th century, this shrine is one of Japan's finest, and is famous for its beautiful Shinden-zukuri style structure (architecture representative of a nobles' residence in the Heian period). The contrast of the green of Mount Misen behind the lacquered shrine pavilion and the blue of the Seto Sea is beautiful and evocative of the underwater palace of Ryugujo.

Takeshi was an amazing tour guide. He made an all day tour relaxing, engaging and memorable. His in-depth knowledge was matched by his sense of humour. Highly recommend if you are looking for a fully organised, stress free orientation of Hiroshima and Miyajima.

This tour company did an excellent job organizing everything and even got us reserved seats on the bulletin trains to and back all included in the price of the tour. We greatly appreciated that! They walk you to and from the meeting point to the bullet train and even give you free time before each train to get snacks and food before leaving on the train. Our guide once on the bus was great and very informative. He answered any questions we had and was very diligent in making sure we knew what time to be back and where. Great tour!

I booked this day trip while staying in Kyoto to get a chance to see another city and area of Japan as well as learn more about the Atomic Bomb. It was a great experience from the beginning to the end of the tour. We had a fantastic tour guide, Azusa, who even provided us with some other knowledge of Japanese people and culture. Would highly recommend!

Angela was an amazing guide. Super trip. I highly recommend it. It was definitely a long day but we got to see Mt. Fuji. the ropeway was open but scary with the wind. It all ended with a fun pirate ship boat ride back to the bus.

It was good but better if more time allocated to the museum and less on Mijayima. I ended up rushing through and missed some of the exhibits.

What a full day this was! Except that finding the meeting place in the hotel was a bit difficult, everything was perfectly planned! This experience allowed us to do so much in a full day that without a guide, all of these things would have taken us twice as long. Our guide was amazing! She was knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the sights. Having the transportation and all of the tickets in advance with someone “shepherding” the group was efficient and easy. Each sight on this excursion was beautiful and very emotional but we learned so much history about these places and from the people that live in these cities. I would highly recommend taking this incredible day trip.
