  Totally indecent Viator Margin. The price offered by Viator is almost 3 times more expensive than when booking directly on site. There's no chance it's sold out given the number of offers. Very nice excursion to discover Ilha Grande and its beaches. Snorkelling dive quite average because not too many fish.

• DO NOT BOOK THROUGH TRIPADVISOR!! Wait and book it in person on the island.

  DO NOT BOOK THROUGH TRIPADVISOR!! Wait and book it in person on the island, there are tons of options and you'll get a better deal. We had prebooked the tour months ahead, but when we attempted to contact the company to confirm a few days before, we never received a response. Morning of, we went to the designated meeting spot and no one there had heard of the company or knew where we were supposed to go. We called the number and got ahold of someone who told us to look for a different company name. We finally found that tour office but the lady working there had no idea what we were talking about. Luckily I speak Portuguese and was able to get us on a boat to the same places but it was with a different company and did not provide things like bottled water that were described in this booking. The experience itself was nice, but wait to book it in person once you're there to save you time, headache, and money.

  Lovely trip, we were fortunate to have good weather. Snorkelling was nice (not amazing). Suggest you take your own drinks on the boat as there is only water available on board.

  We got to our meeting point 30 minutes early and no more arrived. Also the meeting point was very vague. There was not a specific spot to meet like a land marker. We asked everyone around and no one knew what tour we were on. I’m filing for a refund and I hope I get a full refund. We followed all the steps and the tour guide never showed up. We call all the number and nothing. Even emailed the person. Don’t book

• Average experience, decent way to see sights during a short trip

  This was a very average experience. Pros: The destinations are beautiful and you can't get to these places without a boat tour. This was a pretty good one; it included water and the guide was knowledgable. We booked the Portuguese speaking one because we felt it was ridiculous to charge 2x the price for English speaking. You don't necessarily need to speak Portuguese for this - half our group did not. We were lucky that one of the guests could translate so we still got the information about each spot. The lunch spot is pricy (like all of the island) but very good food and they accept cards. 45 min is a perfect amount of time at each place. I had thought it would be too short, but it was exactly right. Cons: This tour advertises that snorkels are provided for rent but that is NOT true. You have to buy them beforehand. This was very disappointing because we did not find this out until the first stop. This was the only hard part of not booking the English tour is that we had a hard time communicating about issues like this. Also the address listed here is wrong, so we arrived at the listed address 15 min early and it was a different company. Thankfully they all talk to each other (small island) so this guide took us to the proper place after we had waiting 30 minutes... this was very frustrating. There was no communication from this company about the event prior to the start and no way to contact them once we realized we were in the wrong place.

• GORGEOUS Day!

  After a little confusion about where we were meeting the boat, we climbed aboard and set off on our adventure. The places we stopped were absolutely stunning, and the water was so warm! We saw turtles, a sea star, a sand dollar, and lots of fish. We stopped at a restaurant for lunch and drinks, which our captain pre-ordered to shorten the wait time. As English-speakers, we opted for an English-speaking tour guide. I'm not sure you truly need one.

  This was an amazing boat tour. The places we stopped and swam were incredibly beautiful. The reason I gave this 3 stars is because of the price. Food and drink should have been included in the cost of this trip. When we stopped for lunch, we still had to pay for our meals, which were overpriced.

  Our guide, nicknamed “Big” was courteous and took us to beautiful locations around the island! Wonderful scenery, fish while snorkeling, and the thrill of a speed boat.

  I liked this tour. It takes you to some beautiful beaches and places were you can go snorkeling and see fish. For me it was a great day. The place we stoped for lunch was a bit expensive for me though.
