Lawrence's Spring
After meeting Saleem, the owner of the camp, you will start your jeep tour. Wadi Rum desert has several little springs in the mountains with limestone tops and granite bases. Limestone absorbs rain. The water slowly descends the limestone until it hits the granite. As granite cannot hold water, the water is pushed out, forming little springs—oases of life in a further inhospitable area. There are amazing views from this point across the red sands to Jebel Rum, then you can drive through the sand dunes on the slopes of Jebel Umm Ulaydiyya and to the Umm Fruth Rock Bridge where you see some Bedouin tents tent made of knitted camelhair, with carpets on the floor and cushions to sit on..
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Sand dunes, famous movies view, The most rewarding dune is also the most visited dune of Wadi Rum. It is the dune we wrote about at the beginning of this blog. The dune is in front of Khazali canyon. The dune formed against a rock formation, which makes this one easy to climb. The views of the surrounding valleys are wonderful.
Jebel Khazali
Jebel Khazali, a peak situated in the center of Wadi Rum Protected Area opens up in a narrow fissure of about 100 m length. Its inner walls are covered with Thamudic, Nabatean, and Islamic inscriptions, as well petroglyphs depicting humans and animals. Remarkable are the soles of feet petroglyphs, which probably had religious significance. In 1932 the French epigraphist Savignac noted the engravings in the cleft and published some of them in 1934. The petroglyphs and inscriptions of Khazali Siq form an impressive collection being one of the major tourist attractions in Wadi Rum. At the end of the canyon, there are several man-made rock-cut basins for water collection.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Al Burj a’Sahrir, is commonly known as ‘Little Bridge’. Little Bridge is a landmark at the centre of the Red Desert sites of Wadi Rum. It enjoys views over the intersection of the major valleys in Wadi Rum known as Khor al Ajram. The rock bridge is 4 metres above the rocks below and around 7 metres above the valley floor, therefore making it relatively easy to climb for visitors.
Lawrence's House
Lawrence’s House in Wadi Rum is called so because TE Lawrence reportedly slept here during his time in the desert. But actually the place has a much older history. The British general who united Arab tribes to fight against the Ottoman Empire would have sheltered in this structure around 1917. But the house itself was erected on top of a pre-existing structure built by Nabataeans more than two thousand years ago.

Lunch time, Bedouin Style, enjoy a lunch cooked by your guide while visiting Wadi Rum.. Have a rest surrounded by the most beautiful mountains of the world.. And the best food!!
Wadi Rum Protected Area
The tour will continue with the visit of this amazing natural spot called, mushroom rock, also called rock pedestal, or a pedestal rock, is a naturally occurring rock whose shape, as its name implies, resembles a mushroom. The rocks are deformed in a number of different ways: by erosion and weathering, glacial action, or from a sudden disturbance.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Burdah Rock Bridge, FFFX+CX7, Wadi Rum Village, Jordan After visiting Wadi Rum's most famous rock, we will get the jeep and lead to the Burdah Bridge. This natural rock arch is the largest and most impressive rock arch found in our Protected Area. We will climb to the top and admire the stunning views in all directions.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Abu Khashaba Canyon, FFVC+95J, Wadi Rum Village, Jordan The best place for hiking and sandbourding.. Abu Khashaba canyon is one of the canyons in the Wadi Rum area that is worth a visit. This red and yellow sand canyon is surprisingly green with desert bushes and trees. It has the shape of an hourglass with a narrow middle section. To reach this section, you have to scramble up some rocks. The mountainsides look like artwork. Over time the beautiful shapes were formed by wind and rain. In some, you can recognise the shapes of animals and faces. A pleasant walk through the canyon takes about 45 minutes.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Um Frouth Rock Arch, FC9X+GM4, Wadi Rum Village, Jordan The Bridge is located in the southeast part of the Wadi Rum reserve, about 4km west of the famous Burdah Rock Bridge. Most Wadi Rum Tours will take you there by Jeep, Camel, or on foot. The climb isn't difficult, but still won't be suitable for small children and the differently abled. Note that there are no safety ropes around, but the rock is both wide and stable – so just watch your step.
Wadi Rum Protected Area

Mohammad was my guide for the tour. He was amazing. We started the trip with a nice welcome in the office with some tea and then headed out for our tour. He was very welcoming and hospitable with me and the other person who booked. He even made us lunch out in the desert when we got hungry! It’s a great experience to be with a native of Wadi Rum. It’s amazing how he knew all the roads, areas to stop and enjoy great views from and even enjoy more tea with the locals of the area after a mini hike. The camp was also great and we had an amazing chef named Salazar. He made us a delicious local meal named Kabsa and chicken that was cooked underground for a while. Both Mohammad and Salazar joined us after dinner with a campfire and more tea. We had an amazing view of the Milky Way and could see the stars clearly at night! No going to another location to view the beauty of the desert. The room was cozy and I even had my own bathroom, which was nice. It does get a bit cold this time of year and they had blankets, which I didn’t use at first but then was cold at night. This kept me warm. This was truly a buck list experience of a life time for me. I’ll definitely try to come back to Jordan and book with them again!

My trip to the Wadi Rum desert was absolutely unforgettable, thanks to Mohammed, our amazing tour guide. From start to finish, he was incredibly attentive and made sure every part of the experience was authentic and meaningful. We visited several stunning spots throughout the desert, each more breathtaking than the last. One of the highlights was learning about Bedouin life in a truly authentic way, something you don’t get from every tour. Mohammed was always happy to share stories and insights, making the whole experience feel very personal. The sunset in Wadi Rum was magical, and the overnight stay was just as impressive. I had my own private tent with an en-suite bathroom, including a private toilet, which added a great level of comfort to the adventure. I also booked a camel ride through them, which was a fantastic way to explore the desert, and they even helped arrange a private taxi to Aqaba, which made my onward travel smooth and easy. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Jordan, especially with Mohammed as your guide!

It was a really fantastic program. Our guide Muhammad was very considerate and made sure we didn't get tired, and he provided us with sufficient explanations and points to appreciate. After the sun goes down, the sunset and dinner are the highlights. The dinner in particular is very well organized. The campfire that follows helps to cherish the beautiful memories of the desert. The accommodation and breakfast are also no-frills.

One person took part in a day trip here in a jeep, a guest named Abbonade was very friendly, about seven and eight hours, and also told me a lot of history and culture. Lunch is super delicious chicken leg curry, and in the evening is chicken (?)Wait to eat full, very delicious. There is also a supply of cheese milk. I am super pleased with the room here, probably because of the few people, the guide helped me upgrade the most luxurious room for free, there are three large beds, separate toilet, the room has heating equipment (very cold to the evening), and even WIFI!! It was heard that there would be no signals in the desert, and the intention of living without signals all day. Jeep travel is very fun, and the tour guide always chatted with me, and traveling alone will not be lonely.

I was actually alone in the camp and got a private tour. The guide was extremely friendly and showed me everything. The meals were delicious and extremely much. The only criticism was the rooster that started to crow in the middle of the night:)

From the pickup til the end, Ahed has always been so polite and friendly. My parents like him so much. We asked to be picked up at the visitor centre as we came by Jett bus. We got a big room with private bathroom. They provide towels. The jeep tour was so fun. Ahed gave us lots of space to explore and never rushed us. In short it's just so worth it. Food was good, especially the dinner. Stargazing by the campfire was amazing. Overall speaking, we really recommend this tour and camp. The experience itself was worth it, but a good tour guide that's comfortable to be with, it's a bonus we appreciate a lot. One thing to be aware, the tent is quite hot even in the evening but the breeze outside would help if you open the windows or even the door (it will take time though). We were able to sleep nevertheless.

We booked a full day jeep tour with Abu Nader. The desert was beautiful and our guide and chef were very nice and hospitable. We visited a few landmarks, followed by lunch, and another trip before dinner. Then ended the day with a fire and tea outside. We started the next day with a short camel ride and then breakfast before heading back to the village.

Wow i really dont know where to start. The visit to Wadi Rum was astonishing. Fantastic scenery and beautiful locations. So much to see and experience. The atmosphere, the sites and the 4x4 journey through the sand dunes is incredible. Should not be missed. Unfortunately i cant say the same about my guide. Thought he was a splendid guy in terms of cooking a delicious lunch and playing such a heartfelt traditional music by the campfire. His skills were great but not his social nature. He was hard to approach and barely gave any information about the sites or its significance. He almost expected me to know it all. Didnt give any information regarding any of the sites. He barely even explained the ways to hike the area. He barely made any effort to make communication. At times he was unclear when I needed to return. Few locations he would rush me. Then other ones he would sit and just have his chai. Making me rush for no reason. He definitely wasn’t sociable. I came across another guy at the same camp oh my god he was the best. I wish i had him. Most of the time it felt extremely isolating despite having someone with me. Overall i would say definitely do the ride but just make sure it's another guide.
