We strive to provide the ultimate sightseeing and exploration tour available in the Virgin Islands taking our guests to locations that few people have ever seen. Let's create memories for a lifetime! Come explore trails, historical ruins & beautiful beaches off the beaten path to a variety of different locations with Jeep Safari!
Our tour is action packed for 8 hours and stretches across the island from the west to the east corners down dirt roads, through the rain forests, over our mountainous terrain, through the inner city, to provide our guests with the ultimate experience of the inner and outer sides of some of the most beautiful places in the Virgin Islands.
We make frequent stops at many locations and will customize each trip to meet the needs of our guests.
We can stop to eat lunch at one of our many restaurants or pack lunches to enjoy on the beach. We provide beach chairs, water, soda, and beer in our fully stocked cooler.

From the moment we pick our guests up at whatever location they may, we start our incredible adventure. On our way to secluded beaches we stop at a variety of overlooks that show the vast expanse of the ocean, scenery, & surrounding islands and are great for photo ops in Charlotte Amalie, Drake’s seat, Mountain Top, and airport overlook, just to name a few. The guide will captivate our guests with Caribbean history dating back to the Mayan, Aztec, Inca, Arawak, and Carib indigenous tribes pre-1492,and the European colonization to the Caribbean until present day events. At times traveling down rough dirt roads, through rain forests, we will get to explore some of the most beautiful beaches, rock formations, wave action, historical ruins, and hunt for coconuts, fruits, and nuts in season for a island snack. Some of our trails lead us through farms with cows, goats, horses, and don’t forget to look for the iguanas, White tailed deer, mongoose, and Parakeets.

5.00Pickup at our remote ABnB was right on time. Thomas Hargrave is a spectacular guide. We wanted a more nitty gritty get to know the island and people kind of tour. He went over the top! So much fun to have a host who seemed to know EVERYONE on St Thomas. This has to be one of the very best tour values we've ever experienced. Thank you Thomas so much!

5.00Hands down one of the best tours we’ve ever taken. Jeep Surfari gave us access to stunning spots we never would have found without a local, and the whole day felt more like exploring with a friend than being on a formal tour. Our guide Thomas was warm, funny, and genuinely cared about showing us the real islands. He truly went above and beyond not only sharing all the best sights, but also taking photos for us along the way. If you’re visiting the USVI, this is a must-do experience. We’ll absolutely be back and will book with Thomas again.

5.00Amazing Jeep tour experience. We did this as a cruise excursion. Easy pick up and communication at the port. Private tour for the same price as a group off the cruise. Our Guide, Meatball, was amazing! Very knowledgeable and great with our 2 kids - 11 and 7. Kept them engaged the entire time in history and facts about the island. Would book again when we return in future!

5.00An unforgettable way to begin our birthday trip. Meatball sat the bar high for expectations for all others to follow. From the beginning to the end, our Jeep Safari was made special. Although I’m sure they have an itinerary set of what they are suppose to shows guest however, Meatball inquired with us of what we had in mind first. He explained how the day would unfold seamlessly always ensuring if we were good with the plan. Not only were we comfortable, but so was our teenage daughters. As educators we were throughly impressed countless times with Meatball’s accuracy and depth of knowledge of St. Thomas—its history, culture, and hidden treasures. He not only took us to the us to the tourist locations; but also shared some of his favorite hidden spots, that were breathtaking. Meatball’s ability to maneuver the jeep through tough spots and winding roads was impressive. Like most families our goal was to capture as many moments in photos as possible. When it became difficult and we wanted everyone in a photo - no worries Meatball was there. He captured every angle in multiple shots. We never felt rushed throughout the duration of the tour. And although we had a second excursion planned for the day when the offer to extend the tour was made we happily accepted canceling our other plans. As the day came to an end our desire to have authentic Caribbean food increased Meatball surprised us with a trip to his favorite restaurant the Chicken Fry. An unforgettable stop with amazing food. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable adventure in St. Thomas, book your tour with Meatball through Jeep Safari. Pro-tip: Do it in advance to ensure you get him. God blessed us as we just so happened to book the day before once we arrived on the island. We’d double his rating if we could!

5.00From start to finish, our birthday Jeep Safari with Meatball was beyond amazing. He made us feel like family from the moment he picked us up. Before the tour even began, he took the time to get to know us and walk us through what to expect. His knowledge of St. Thomas; its history, culture, and hidden gems made the tour truly special. We visited spots that weren’t just tourist attractions, but meaningful parts of the island that most visitors never see. We laughed, learned, and enjoyed every moment. Meatball also acted as out personal photographer getting every shot and angle. We had other activities planned that day, but because Meatball had time to extend our tour, we chose to stay with him instead and it was absolutely the right choice. 5.00We are staying in St. Thomas and were picked up right at our hotel for a full-day Jeep tour in St. John — out at 8:00 AM and back at 5:30 PM — and it was hands-down the highlight of our trip. Our guide, Thomas M. Hargrave, was the absolute star of the show. He is extraordinary. From the moment we met him, we knew we were in great hands. He shared incredible history and island stories, kept us laughing all day, and somehow mixed adventure, education, and pure fun perfectly. He showed us views and hidden gems we would have never found on our own. We learned so much about St. John, the culture, the people, the land, and the history — and did it all while laughing till our stomachs hurt. We truly felt like we were spending the day with a local legend. On top of that, Thomas owns his own cab company and also took care of our airport transfers — seamless, professional, and on time. His family even owns restaurants and hotels in the islands… this man is the REAL deal and deeply rooted in the community. It felt like a blessing to spend the day with him. Do not hesitate to book this tour. Worth every dollar and every minute of your day. Unforgettable experience. We will absolutely do this again!

5.003 words… Meatball, Meatball, MEATBALL‼️ Todd, better known as “Meatball” was my tour guide for the Ocean Surfari Full Day Jeep Tour of St. Thomas. I should’ve known I was in for an amazing day just by his mere excitement when I called to confirm my tour the day prior. I’m sure Ocean Surfari has other great tour guides, but no one can provide the level of excitement, enthusiasm, knowledge, and passion that Meatball provided me. I was truly able to see the love and passion he has for this island through his eyes. Within an hour I felt like I was just hanging out with a close friend touring a beautiful island. The tour took us off beaten paths, winding through cities and neighborhoods, up scenic mountain roads, and down to secluded beaches that felt like secret Caribbean gems. The panoramic views from the mountain tops were absolutely breathtaking; pictures don’t do it justice. We could see deep blue and turquoise waters stretching for miles, with the many surrounding islands. One of the highlights were stops at historical sites, where we learned about the rich history of the USVI. Meatball brought the stories to life, making the history of the island truly fascinating. We also had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the beach and go swimming and snorkeling. What really stood out was how personalized the tour felt. Meatball tailored the experience to my interests and made sure I got the most out of every stop. Whether you’re into nature, history, or simply looking to see the best views on the island, this tour has it all; including entertainment, aka “Meatball”! I had a lot of favorite moments, but my absolute best was having the pleasure of Meatball inviting me to his home for the best home made Louisiana Gumbo I EVER had! Mrs. Yvonne, I call her Mrs. Meatball, was so welcoming and the three of us sat at their kitchen island and ate Gumbo with buttered crackers 😋, and just talked and laughed. Beautiful spirited people. I have been officially adopted. Mr. & Mrs. Meatball are my adopted Virgin Island parents. I absolutely love and treasure them 💙🩵🤍. If you want to explore St. Thomas or St. John like a local and see parts of the islands most visitors miss, this full day Jeep tour with Ocean Surfari is an absolute must‼️ 10/10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Can’t recommend it enough!
