A short stop high over St.Gilgen (a site from "The Sound of Music" movie). On the way to 5 Fingers and Hallstatt we go through the famous Lakes and Mountains district “Salzkammergut” passing by also hotel Schloss Fushl and the headquarters of Red Bull. Photo stop high over Lake Wolfgang and the Mozart village St. Gilgen .
Bad Ischl
Bad Ischl was the summer residence of the Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth (Sisi). In Kaiservilla the declaration of the war against the Kingdom of Serbia was signed. It was the beginning of WW I. You will get explained about the history while passing the town.

5.00We took the day trip from Salzburg to Vienna and included the cable car. Highly recommend to do so as the views are incredible and it's not too strenuous of a hike and mostly flat. Our tour guide Shiva was fantastic. He was a wealth of knowledge about European history and geography. Would definitely recommend!
