Three spectacular highlights in one sightseeing tour: 5 of the most spectacular viewing platforms in Austria, “5 Fingers”, only 20 to 30 minutes easy to moderate hiking one way from the top of the cable car station are necessary for an unforgettable experience. (In winter you need to have sturdy snow boots. With lots of snow special equipment can be rented at the cable car station.)!
The picturesque Lakes and Mountains district “Salzkammergut” and the extraordinary village “Hallstatt” at Lake Hallstättersee. The UNESCO Cultural Heritage Committee wrote: “… nature of extraordinary beauty added to scientific import …” Some guests say it is the most extraordinary lake village in the world.
It is a Small Group Minivan Tour (up to 8 pax/van). Each guest will be taken care personally!

Heading east from Salzburg City the first lake we pass is the emerald lake Fuschlsee!
A short stop high over St.Gilgen (a site from "The Sound of Music" movie). On the way to 5 Fingers and Hallstatt we go through the famous Lakes and Mountains district “Salzkammergut” passing by also hotel Schloss Fushl and the headquarters of Red Bull. Photo stop high over Lake Wolfgang and the Mozart village St. Gilgen .

5.00The Minivan Tour from Salzburg to Hallstatt with 5 Fingers was great! We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Our tour guide Shiva was great. He was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. (We requested for a slight detour to take a picture of a sight that we had missed on our way out and he took us there on our way back.) Hallstatt is a beautiful lakeside village. The Funicular near Hallstatt was closed and a new one is under construction. Going up to Five Fingers gave us a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and lakes from a different angle.

5.00Shiva was an amazing tour guide, flexible when accommodating the group’s preferences and quite knowledgeable as we ventured through the towns! Will never forget him referring to the gloomy weather we experienced as “romantic”. 10/10, I recommend!

5.00We enjoyed our tour with Sivakumar, our driver, from whom we gained new knowledge and information, about Salzburg, Halstat and its surrounding areas. He is also a great photographer! Would recommend the tour and Siva to our family and friends.
Hallstatt and Lakes Region

5.00We had four people in the small group tour to Hallstatt and the Five Fingers. Shiva was our host, and he was knowledgeable and very professional. The ride to FF was gorgeous as the autumn colors were at their colorful peak. That alone made it a 5* trip. Hallstatt was surprisingly quiet for a Friday, and it was idyllic in nature. A lovely village to visit. The trip to FF included a cable car ride and then a 20-minute walk to the lookout. Unfortunately, when we reached the summit, the view was obscured by clouds, so there was nothing to see. That said, the whole experience was wonderful and we made friends with a mother and daughter from Australia who enhanced the experience.

5.00Group size is cosy with just 5 persons. Shiva is a great guide who is very knowledgeable, helpful and thoughtful. A lot of story telling and sharing along the route, showing us different sights, providing us with some local knowledge. He is a good photographer too. We are lucky to have him as our guide.

5.00We had a wonderful day with Fritz! I wasn’t too sure when I booked this tour due to the limited number of reviews, but they were all so glowing, I went ahead and booked and we are so glad I did. Fritz arrived in our hotel lobby to greet us right on time and it was a full and informative day from there. We took the cable cars to the top and journeyed out to 5 Fingers with spectacular views along the way. We did get pretty tired climbing the rather steep hills, mostly on the way back and the high altitude certainly didn’t help, but we made it, stopping at a couple benches on the way back. The views were fabulous and we are so glad we went. The time spent in the village was amazing, with such adorable houses and shops and two lovely churches. Highly Recommend!

5.00The mountain view from the Five Fingers was breathtaking. The cable car, climbing up and down the steep slopes of the Dachstein massif, was thrilling. The town Hallstatt was so beautiful. I could visit many other wonderful places in the Salzkammergut region. Richness of its nature and soil was impressive. I have to add to say that our guide and the staff of the tour company were very nice and reliable. すばらしい体験でした。 個人旅行でザルツカンマーグート地方を巡ることは簡単ではありません。このミニバンツアーに参加できて幸運だったと思います。

5.00The tour was nice we had a friendly driver Fritz. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We had bad weather unfortunately that day, but he was trying his best to see if we could still make it up to the 5 fingers. Or do a bonus sound of music tour instead (which we did). Hallstat was cute.. we walked the town, had lunch, saw the churches and did a boat ride. I wish we had had more time to explore the nooks and crannies in town, even tho it’s small. The drive there is rural and pretty, and we were dropped back directly at our hotel with dinner recommendations. No one mentioned on Viator or anywhere tho that the funicular to the sky bridge in the town was closed for renovations. That would have been nice to know, it was a little confusing. All together… if you want more time there and to explore both sides of the lake (and save money on the tour) the train is probably a good option. Although you have to transfer and it takes longer. Otherwise the tour is a good option and I hope you have great weather!
