An awesome experience. The penguin parade was so hard to see at the platform. Might be better to see it from the boardwalk

I was very pleased with our trip and the guide tour Luke made a big difference. The drive to Phillip island is about 2 hours and that would’ve been very boring if we wouldn’t have entertainment. Our tour guide was very funny we laughed a lot and even sang. Also was important he gave us directions and emphasized the returning time for each stop we made. It was a hot day and the stop at the animal sanctuary was a bit on the lazy side for the animals. The highlight of the trip was the penguin march when they returned to their burrows. We attended general admission but we all had the chance for a close up visual encounter from the overpass just before we returned to the bus.

Such a great way to spend our afternoon and evening! Luke was a terrific tour guide. Even though it's a long trip, the stops at the nature sanctuary and the town for dinner were great ways to break it up. And the penguin parade is every bit as amazing as it was described.

The stop at Moonlit Sanctuary is a great opportunity to see Australian wildlife up close, but it felt a bit rushed. Scenic photo stop at Cape Woolamai with surfers. The penguin parade was ok (not fabulous). The general seating section was chaotic and doesn't guarantee you will get a good view of the penguins...up to 2,000 people attended the night I went. Pay for a premium seat or don't bother going. CANNOT take photos of penguins. Dress for the weather; it was very cold at the waterfront.

Do not wait until the penguin parade to get dinner. The guide told us there was plenty of restaurants and time to dine before the parade. There were two very small counters to order a limited menu and a hotdog stand and close to 20,000 people. He is so soft spoken you could barely hear anything he said the entire trip and we asked that he speak up. Our tickets said to meet at 12:45 along with several others then some people came up and their tickets said 1:45. He was there at 1:45 and our names and the other ones with 12:45 were on his list. We doubled checked our tickets and they were indeed 12:45.

The trip was great, the bus driver, John, was well knowledged with everything along with the entire journey. And he made the tour so fun even though when we were waiting for the passengers who lost the track of time. And he explained everything of the upcoming tour point well enough before we arrived at the destination.
