  We booked this tour for two days. Our guides were Mithat and Ismail. Amazing guides. Very knowledgeable. They had answers for all our inquiring minds. We learned history of Türkiye with pictures and maps. We were able to make adjustments to the itinerary. Day one was a mix of green tour and red tour as listed under the description. You get to see everything. Second day, we went south for a hike since we wanted to experience that. You move at our own pace.

  We did the custom tour and told our lovely guide Jamil that we wanted to see all the important stuff and also get a in depth view of the land. He delivered and more! He was friendly, kind, generous and knowledgeable. He knew a lot of the history and tailored it to the teens and adults. We appreciated this!! Definitely recommend him. It’s true they take you to some places where there is shopping but I never felt pressured to buy and you shouldn’t either. Truthfully - you’ll find better prices in Istanbul.

• Cappadocia private tour

  We booked a private day tour on Viator thru Reliance Tours. We requested a specific itinerary that included Pigeon Valley viewpoint, Derinkuyu underground city, Ihlara Valley , & Selima monastery.Our guide Baki provided useful background information on every site which we wouldn’t have known if we visited the sites on our own. Baki was very flexible with stops along the way and we made a stop at a store for special Cappadocia Turkish coffee and pistachio crème spread because we expressed interest in these items. We also made a stop at the Uchisar castle view platform. It was a good tour and I would recommend it as long as you know what sites you want to see. The normal tour they provide will likely be the Goreme open air museum, Red Valley, onyx factory, Avanos pottery making. So I suggest you do a bit of research beforehand so you can take advantage of the perks of designing your own private tour.

  It was a great experience and the vehicle was great. Guide Erhan was very nice and knowledgeable. He took time to explain us the history and also gave us enough time to explore. Driver Mustafa was also kind and drove us around carefully. Overall it was a great experience.
