Uchisar Castle
Uçhisar Castle is the highest point in Cappadocia, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the entire region. Located in the village of Uçhisar, just a short drive from Göreme, this towering natural rock formation was used for centuries as a fortress and lookout point. Carved out of soft volcanic tuff, the castle contains a maze of tunnels, rooms, and passageways that once served as homes and shelters for local inhabitants.
